As much as I loved Princes Park, the practice match against Norf this year reminded me of why we can never play there again... we need to find over $50 million just to get the place up to scratch... then find a transport solution... drove around for an hour and only 10k in attendance.

As for blaming stadiums for performances and low membership... you kidding me? Good teams play well anywhere... I like Etihad as a venue especially when we only attract 30-40k

We should be demanding a 7-4 split with only the interstate teams at Docklands

yes surrey.. everybody noticed what i did do....

i asked u to answer some questions.. which u r unable to answer... cos to answer them u must be up with the concept of reason....

as youre not up to the concept of reason and logic... they noticed that too.....

and youre the only one that seems to have an envy for handbags....noone else here wants us playing in the rust belt city....in front of 25.000

If we move to MCG it will be a good start.

Carlton will never get to 50,000 members whilst being at Etihad.

Reason? I suggest there is about 45,000 available seats for Carlton members - the remaining seats are for Etihad or AFL Members.

We still need to develop Princes Park to a 60,000 seat stadium - this is my vision.

Have a look at what Geelong are doing ........

We are still paying off the debt of the Legend Stand built in the 90s that was the previous vision.

And Geelong are not doing it with their money - about $50 million of Federal, State & Local government money has been (and is) being pumped into the redevelopment of their ground - what in flower are you dreamers smoking.

Same same article about talking to Malthouse, talking to Roos etc but then noticed this little beauty at the bottom. Can't come quick enough.

I now hate going to the MCG. Hard to get to with city congestion. parking a nightmare. You still walk a mile. Public transport is a nightmare after the game also
Whereas Etihad is easy to drive to, parking is easy and relatively close. Good eateries close by

But I still recognise that Carlton is better off playing the majority of games at the G.

As Doc said, there'll still be some games at Etihad. We just have to hope we can tip the balance towards the MCG as much as possible. Which will probably mean tipping out some of the existing MCG games from other clubs to Etihad as compensation. So I hope noone thinks we can just waltz into the MCG show a bit of leg and get exactly what we want.

You still walk a mile. diddums, the walk at Etihad is the least of its problems, apart from the fact the footbridge gets overcrowded Public transport is a nightmare after the game also Last I checked it uses the same PT system that Etihad does

Etihad is right off the Citylink. Easy as piss. Its never taken me more than 15-20 min to get there, sometimes 10. The Essendon* game at the G which was ?50k crowd, it took over 1 hour from Strathmore
There is carparking in Docklands Drive available every week. less than 10min walk
Try getting a tram or train from the MCG after a match. It's a horror show. Southern Cross station is a breeze in comparison or the city trams

Last time I drove my car to a game at Etihad, which is only once, I got a park on Bourke Street. It was awesome, outside of the chargeable hours and was able to freely get away from the stadium with no problems at all.

Last time I drove my car the MCG I arrived early so got an awesome park just near the members' stand entrance. But, I kid you not, it took me 40 minutes to move 150m to the exit. I was gropable!

That said...
