How can we take a poll seriously that has D Bailey as an option but not Paul Roos

I didn't put Roos in because he's not available.

I have no doubt if he was available, most people who think that Ratten had to go would vote Roos. I certainly would.

We'll learn from that.

I don't think your Bailey's, your Brown's, your Richardson's, your Mitchell's and certainly not your Wallace's are individuals Carlton would be hiring...but there's a bloke in the VFL who they could talk to regarding a vacant line coaching position.

The question is who do you want, not who do you think will.
I want Roos.

I'm sure he'd love to. I'm equally sure Tammi is screening his calls.

There is a way to get him, but it involves him residing in Sydney in 2013. I don't think that's an option for the board. You're either 100% committed or it becomes farcical.

The virtual coach. excellent.
Could work, if you have Dean Bailey(oops, I meant Laidley) and multiple man, and the other crew.
:-D

Is a virtual Roos worth more than a Silver Fox in the hand?

6 months living apart isn't the end of the world. We could give him 2 nights per week in Sydney or 3 occasionally.
We can buy them 2 iPads and let them Facetime.

I know he is an extreme longshot but unless you ask the question in a few different ways, you just never know.

From every thing I hear MM's over the line. That being the case it makes the assistant coaching positions interesting. As expensive as it'll be I think that you have to allow the new coach to pick his team.

I'd favour at least one prominent assistant, (eg Laidley) and one newie ... (some one who's retired in the last 12 months). Hopefully MM feels the same way.

From those available. I actually want Worsfold, Thompson, Longmire, Clarkson (yep) and probably a bunch of others before Malthouse, but they're not available, so they're not in the poll. Same reason I left Roos out.

Ratts got screwed. I just hope the club knows what it's doing.

You can see no difference between a contracted coach and an uncontracted reluctant coach.

I would say Thompson is availabe. if you want him, you should add him to your poll. But Terry Wallace is more appropriate for that lot

They ideally want a proven Premiership coach, and it would seem that there are only 3 of them around: Mick Malthouse, Paul Roos and Mark Williams. Williams might be the dark horse in this.
