Everyone thought Collingwood, Doggies & Richmond were going to sort us out as well.

If we match them for hardness and can keep pushing forward, we are a chance.

Robbo back in, him and young Bell smashing Swans bodies at every contest.

I wouldn't be leaving Mc innes out the kid has done very little wrong & I would persist with Levi, he just needs to believe he belongs and take responsibility and he will be fine, it would be nice to get Waite back and open up a potential two pronged attack, the smaller players could do quite nicely if he and Levi can at least create a contest and bring the ball to ground.

Love Robbo, and he's pretty much an automatic in.

But I love what Bell is bringing too.

And you'd be crazy to drop McLean now.

But really, can you have all 3 in the same midfield? You probably need to now, given no Judd/Simpson, but long term?

Possibly play Robbo in the forward 50... his brand of crazy would be pretty valuable in keeping the ball in, creating opportunities for others, and he doesn't mind the odd goal either.

I like the idea of Garlett in the midfield rotations.

Collingwood never tag any of our players, and Doggies and Richmond are both shite. There's no comparison.

So Reid is out for the Swans, Goodes will be OK and they are "hopeful" Mumford will play.

Not sure which of our players will come up but I'd like to see Warnock come into the side at the expense of Casboult with Kreuzer to spend some time up forward.
Even with Reid not playing I hope Watson comes back into the side.
Players to potentially make way for the likes of Robbo, Simpson, Walker and Watson would be Dale, Davies, Joseph, Duigan or McInnes (I like McInnes but a break wouldn't hurt him).

Gibbs to match up on Goodes - looking forward to it already.

anything can happen. surely we know that by now?

we beat them twice last year and if we get a few back & theyre missing a couple you never know . i only hope we keep going with casboult, mcinnes, dale, bell etc. the last couple of weeks has been great for their development.

Will be a tough game, but they are due a loss.

hey guys... first time poster. been reading all season.

imo, Simmo and Robbo are automatic selections if they're fit... not so sure about Walker. yes he was good last year, but his form has been pretty bad this year even when fit.

right now i'd drop Dale and Davies for Simmo and Robbo and leave the rest the same.

I'd be amazed if Simpson gets even close. More hope than reality from Ratts IMO.

The Carlton Grit is essential of course.............but i reckon this game is all about finesse.Precision by hand and foot will be vital .Swans are masters of taking advantage of turnovers and will murder you on the rebound.SO,precision is vital.Tempo footy is also vital.Must not allow the Swans to speed up or slow down the game at there will.We must control the tempo. Its gonna be a brain game with the guy with the most smarts coming out on top pretty much like a game of chess.Concentrate for the full 100 minutes and its our game.

The first few things we needed were self belief and intensity.
We got that in the last month.
Now we need to improve our support for each other.
We will improve again if we allow each other time with the ball to spot and hit targets in the better position.
If we work for each other and sacrifice ones personal game for the better team out come then anything can happen.
Finally we have to attack the corridor and not go in the pockets.

McInnes out, surely not - would imagine in-line for LRT (or Jamo?) but could play on Dennis-Lane or O'Keefe.
It all depends on who they bring in for Reid (Jamo to take them) but would hate to see another repeat performance from a Jesse White inclusion. Mitch Morton kicked 9 in the local league. Maybe Grundy will go forward or they'll keep Goodes up there and go short up fwd.

Fair point we beat them twice last year, and beat them well both times, but the Swans are a much better team, harder, bigger bodied, more consistent, better drilled than last year.

I hate the way we play Kreuzer. We've GOT to bring in 206 to shoulder the max of the rucking. We're killing a great footballer by playing him as our only ruck.

Why are people considering dropping McInnes? The MC should hand in a resignation if they did that, that's how bad a decision it would be.

No way you drop McInnes, Bell & Casboult but a call needs to be made about Dale... full game either at Carlton or Northern

I wouldn't expect Simmo to play and after just one VFL in god knows how long there is no way Waite would be fit enough.

Robbo would come straight in for Dale. And if Tex is fit then I would drop Davies (my opinion: just don't think he's good enough)

Have to keep both Levi and Tommy Bell

Army to run with Jetta. Take away their outside weapon and we are a slightly better chance.

But its the only time we seem to get any decent output out of Krooz! Dont get me wrong, I agree with you, but if 206 comes in, Krooz will need to spend time up forward and this is a worry because he is not effective up there and it will mean Levi will need to drop out

This is a worry. His best position (by far) seems to be the one that is most likely to send him into early retirement. For club and player's sake, he really needs to become an effective relief forward, because there's no way he'll survive very long playing as a permanent follower.

Couldn't possible drop Cassy.
He is providing a focal point (at last) and can relief ruck.
He is the type of player we should be developing right now.
Pity his been injured until now.

He's a ruck rover/relief ruckman. #1 ruck he certainly ain't - in my book. He's got the speed, agility and tank to be a great RR.

Kruezer is not a ruck rover. He is a ruckman and a good one at that.
Agree with other though needs to do more forward when playing there.
I think he would be a good CHF but must be developed!
