Collingwood will never deal with Carlton. Wont happen. Cant exactly threaten with the pre season draft as the player would not risk it ie GWS or Gold Coast have the cash.

Dane Beams will head to either Brisbane or GC if a deal can't be arranged with Collingwood.

If they're out of contract there's no choice but to deal if, theoretically, Carlton is their choice of club.

Asking for our first three picks and an additional first rounder on top is still considered dealing with us.

If I recall BrizzyBlue was on the money some years ago regarding a big name recruit to Carlton. That came to fruition.
