The mostly crap form of Garlett since Round 3 symbolises the fall from grace of our team as a whole... He's playing like a lazy millionaire who thinks his poo doesnt stink, and is forgetting the hard work that got him a reputation as one of the best small forwards in the game. He is a shadow of his former self this year.. He needs to get rid of those God awful silly flashy boots, and stop thinking he's it and a bit, because his form barely warrants selection in the Seniors at the moment. The same goes for Bryce Gibbs!!

I reckon you might have a point with those boots. Not the boots themselves, but the mindset that they probably indicate.
"I'm a star .... look at me" ... not sure how I feel about that a team game. Dermott Brereton seemed to go ok thinking like
that, but he was a very physical player. Garlett's not exactly a battering ram.

Fabulous Phil Carman also got rubbished for wearing white boots.....but that stirred him on.

Have you tried buying footy boots these days?
There aren't too many non-garish options.

He should!
Wonder what happened to him anyway?

One in all in. It's not a problem where individuals are responsible.

It's a collective mindset I reckon and I think the players continually get protected or excused from sub standard efforts.

Ratten was a no bullshit player who went for the ball with no stuffing about. His players should follow suit.

Actually, it's not so much a physical softness, it's more mental and, at times, that manifests itself in a physical context. But the weakness appears to start above the shoulders.

Using the St Kilda/Essendon* games as examples...

Okay, they start fired up and get a jump on us at the start of the game. That's okay, that will happen. But why are we seemingly unable to raise our game/intensity for sustained periods to allow our (arguably) better talent to finish the job?

It's a problem that's been around for a while. But the time for excuses has passed. Now is a time for action.

Nice.
I think a good old fashion spray doesn't go astray every now and then either.

Who's job is it to whip them into shape?
I don't think he earns as much as Rambo,
but then again he might be watching the big screen too much also.
