Not sure we're 'allowed' to 'rest' players. The Eagles 'rested' Priddis and a couple of others and they were listed with Quad, ankle and shoulder....so key will be to put a body part next to Judd, Murphy and Kreuzer. McInnes, McLean and Warnock the ins for me.

The wording will be "general soreness".

I think Judd needs the rest to find his @#$%&! arm. It was last seen under Crowley's arm.

Judd might get a rest, but as a team we havent been playing well enough to rest large parts of the team. Youre dreaming if you think otherwise. We barely got through last night and were crushed last week.

Juddy should have a rest this week, but not sure who else should go out. Duigan perhaps, or Jamo?

Brock could come back in for Juddy, or Ellard.

I'd bring in any of Bootsma, Kerr, Collins, McCarthy or Watson for some experience.

Taking GWS lightly is fraught with danger. Anyone who has a niggle should be considered but there's a bit of collective form that is needed to develop.

With an 8 and then a 9 day break it doesn't sound like we have too much to worry about.

I'd continue to field as full strength as possible.

I think Judd, Scotland and Kreuze need rests. That should be it.

Give Ellard a run for Juddy, Warnock a run for Kreuze and Collins a run for Scotland. Collins seems to have been close a few times this year.

Those three ins should be very hungry to prove why they should stay in the team with Carrots and Laidler out for a while.

Russell and Joseph really need to step up and grab the opportunity next week as well. No matter who is out with "general soreness" there will be plenty to prove for the fringe players and I already feel sorry for GWS after we have a 9 day break and a very hungry list!!!! Gonna be ugly

Thank god Walker's back!! We needed a quality mid size forward....

Make sure we keep our heads and finish off these games as expected.
Hopefully our team has learnt from last week because some of our supporters certaintly haven't!
We need to make sure we win the next 4 - good sides DO THAT - no more stuff ups!

I don't think anyone's advocating sending out the Nthn Blues. But it does present a good opportunity for those who need a rest to have it, and for those who have been unlucky to have a shot.

with carrots, laidler and yarran already out i dont think we can afford to rest too many more. having said that i see merit in giving judd a spell & i think he did hint during a recent interview that he would have 3 weeks off during the year including the bye.

Not sure why some seem keen to play everyone and anyone.

The back-line should not be tampered with as game time is vital to build their understanding together.
Jamison, Henderson, Duigan, Tuohy to stay, along with Joseph and Russell to build their game time up.

Warnock? Only if one of Hampson or Kreuzer need the rest.

The only ins that would have value would be Collins and Ellard and not McCarthy, McInnes, Kerr nor Dale.
McLean and Bower were dropped so let them play another week through the VFL and not gifted games at this stage.

Big Santy will most likely line up for his first GWS game against us

Should we be worried

Agree with your post. Judd will definately have a rest with general soreness, Kreuzer looks tired as does Scotland.
Warnock and Ellard are the obvious inclusions assuming they get through the VFL okay. The third one is up for grabs although it would nice to have a player debut as we havent played any new players this season. Has to be earned though.

Agree with the comment that the backline needs to stay in and Duigan, Jamo, Russell all need the game time. Tuohy could probably do with the rest but he could be made sub.

With injuries to Yaz, Carrots and Laidler I would be conservative in resting players. Judd's the obvious choice, Scotland, Kreuzer...Betts or Garlett?

I could see Brock playing well if selected, but being utterly pointless as he would struggle against everyone else.

I think we will rest Judd and maybe 2 others.

No. GWS are shite......... hell, we could rest 18 of our best 22 and still start favourites!

That said, good luck to Setanta. I miss him!
Wish him all the best at GWS.

We should treat them with respect, because in a few years when they're our overlords they will be lenient in gratitude.
