Perhaps that can be the mantra for next years family day.

You work for CFC marketing, dont you?

Kids are too soft nowadays...it's the parents fault.

How do they cater for a 6,000 (allegedly) increase in attendance?

Anyone know if they put up a Facebook event to gauge interest?

Even if it's only 2000 people, why would you have just the four marquees and a stage setup all in one quadrant of the ground (or close to)? It's silly every year and could do with a few small resources pumped in just to lighten the load.

Maybe a facilities tour for groups of 50; have the event run for 5 hours instead of 3. There's plenty of ideas to throw into the mix. All the players don't need to be there all of the time, they can nick off to the rec room and have shifts until they're all up on stage. Or maybe they could even have several stage shows and stagger them through the afternoon with different players?

Sure it's a simple event, but these are simple ideas I've come up with in 3 minutes, and most of them aren't remotely difficult to implement.

How? by membership number increases.

But membership was high last year as well, so that doesn't necessarily help them.

Sad but true.

Right...... I will send my 3 young fellas around for you to keep them entertained! Of course, it was quite warm, and who likes standing around in those conditions?

They did a great job I reckon.

I bought a new guernsey and they had a tent that did free numbers. They had the number press in the tent, and the guys running it did a great job.

It would have been hot for the players sitting in the tents as well, so dont blame the club for not leaving them out there for a long period of time.

Yes there were massive lines for everything, but I dont think this could be avoided.

The club has reduced some I AM Carlton signature jumpers to. $80.00 for the clash jumper at the minute.

Do they still put the numbers on at the club. I am thinking of heading back there for the training session on Saturday and buying 3.

Yes they do the numbers at the club as they have their own press machine.

I think its about $10.00.

They did have them for free at the Family Day for those that purchased a guernsey.

I personally believe Juddy should have to hug every person who attends and slip them at least a $50!
