Craig David's a fine coach. It should be remembered that he lost a lot of experienced players over the last couple of years of his tenure at the Crows - would leave a big gap in any side.

Would be fantastic to have him and Richardson in the same coaches box.

Would certainly put Essendon*'s "dream team" to shame if this were to happen..

Wash your mouth out!

How can you possibly compare any coaching team to Hird, let alone the Royalty sitting in that coaching box?!

Probably be able to teach the boys a thing or 2 about grooming and facial care products. Not sure about his footy knowledge though

Well, I'm glad we're going for Craig David. For a while I was afraid the rumours were true and we'd be going for Eminem when he finishes with the Filth.

Would be a great get and compliment the talent that we have amassed in the box since the rabble of the last few years have moved on.

Seeing that he had the top job for a long time and was deposed acrimoniously; don't know whether he has the fire to be top dog once again and the stress that comes with it. May be very happy being a Director of Coaching and helping Ratts, Richardson, Brown and the boys round out their skills.

An independent and different perspective from someone that was so successful for so long cannot be a bad thing.

As for not winning a flag...I don't think anyone in our box has won a flag while they were calling the shots. Moot point.

What would a Director of Coaching actually do if that's what role he gets?

Haha.

Speaking of bets:-

J.Kelly for top 5 in brownlow - $51 (I'm on him for $10)

D.Swann for brownlow- $10 (I put $20 on him just because I'll need some kind of distraction if Judd looses)

I had $50 on Essendon* to beat us in the first final (for exact reasons above). Best $50 I've ever lost!

Anyway, back to Craig.......... Bugger Off ya old codger - we's don't want ya!

In all seriousness, I just don't feel comfortable with somebody like him coming into the coaching box. He would take a pissy assistants role and would therefore take a leadership role of sort and I don't think he's earnt one, especially considering his departure from a once almighty Adelaide!

Just M.O only.

Probably an upgrade on Riley, but not worth what the market will currently dictate.

Shaun Rehn, Craig Starcevich or Peter Berbakov would be handy.

Shaun Rehn is a clown. Happy if we can get Craig. You cant have too many good people.

Be very surprised if we get Craig. I thought last year Ratts was very much against appointing a senior mentor. Very difficult for a senior coach and a very recent senior coach to work together and I thougt Craig was happy to stay at the Crows or walk away. Ratts seems to have distributed a bit of his authority this year, I think he is the senior coach and doesn't need another senior coach looking over his shoulder. This approach was a disaster at the Hawks with Parko and Schwab and at Melbourne with Bailey and Connolly. I doubt Ratts knows Craig much at all. Can't see it happening.
