The West Coast loss for me at Etihad when the game was lost at the selection table.

I voted Hawthorn.

I'll discount Saturday night because it was a final, and we put in a great effort missing 3 of our best 6 players and got done by the umps to lose by 3 points.

The first WCE loss was tough because we were missing so many important players, and in a way we were due. It ended up being critical and a true 8 point game (and our worst losing margin), but with no Laidler, Duigan, Robbo, Jamo (for 3 quarters) etc. we were just up against it.

The Bulldogs game was hopeless because we lost to a sub-standard opposition from a winning position. Just hopeless and this kind of performance should be erased from our 2012 season.

For me, the Hawthorn game was our worst loss. It was hyped as one of the games of the season, and our chance at a top 4 spot, and we didn't even rock up till half time. We burned so many chances against a genuine top 4 opposition, and with a 2 quarter head start, they could only beat us by 2 goals. If we had have shown up from the start, or at least taken a couple of chances (Jeffy missing from 15 meters) the season may have looked very different.

I was about to post but then read this and have to say I agree with everything. Hawks game was the worst - from the start we had to show something, we had to demonstrate that they weren't going to bully us, and in that first half we went to pieces and played scared. It was a massive game and we turned up frightened - it was sickening to watch.

ps I can't believe so many people picked Saturday night's loss as the worst of the season. Disappointing yes, but we gave everything - such a contrast to the Hawks game.

Interesting that neither Pies game rates a mention.

Worst performance of the season was against the Dogs and also first half against Hawthorn.

Most disappointing losses were Geelong and West Coast on Saturday. We had chances to win both and never took them.

The trial game loss to Saints does not count.

West Coast dominated us for large parts but midway through the third quarter we were within a kick depsite having most of our back half missing.

The Pies losses just showed us that we are about 3-4 on a good day and 5-6 on a bad day behind the top side.

We went 0-6 against the top 4 sides above us.

The Saints game we had in control and would have won that had we needed too.

So for mine the only game we dropped to a side below uis when it mattered was the Bulldogs and for that reason it sticks as our worst loss this season.
