I went to a Fathers Day lunch on Sunday. Within 30 seconds of walking through the door, I was reminded by a Richmond supporter and a Demons supporter that we'd lost the previous night, had heaps of pressure on us this week, and were a big chance to go "out in straight sets"....(1 set ).

Morons the pack of them. No amount of PR can reverse that mentality that permeates AFL fans (& the media) across the country.

Let's face it....if I were a journo, I'd throw every bit of journalistic integrity out the window to talk down the scum and the filth and dig up some dirt on them. Human instinct.

If anyone is in real danger of going out in straight sets, a la us in '94, I'd put my money on Geelong.

Hawthorn can beat them. They will eventually. Might not be this week but it will be very soon. If the Hawks do get over the Cats that would filter Geelong into an awkward match up against the Swans or Saints. Just a tricky assignment, having said that I'd much rather be on that side of the draw than the one that runs through Perth.
