If we 'weren't trying' and didn't really care about the result or getting our players into some sort of form, then why didn't we follow Hawthorn's lead and leave out anyone with a niggle (of which we had quite a few)?

We were beaten, plain and simple. Outplayed, outsmarted and above all, outmuscled. The exact same happened against Hawthorn two weeks ago. Clearly we learned !@#$%& nothing from that.
