I umpired Jack Silvagni last week and just letting you guys know he will be an absolute freak. Took about 4 strong pack mark, kicked 3 goals (one from about 40m out), this being in under 14s. Future Carlton champion. Great leadership skills as well!

Too early to give him a 'tour' of the training facilities at PP?

I saw some of that game. Yes he's clever and skilful but that description is over the top. Young SOS played forward pocket and at this stage, he's quite small for his age. (Yes, theres plenty of opportunity for him to grow) but to suggest he was taking multiple pack marks is folly. Let's just let him enjoy his footy without foolish expectations.
As a side note, Darren Harris coaches juniors at the same club and Graham Wright does the footy ops so he has plenty of knowledgeable mentors around him.

If he's not growing at 16, then we can hit the 'panic' button. As it stands, sounds like he could be a talented utility in the making.

It's important to develop ties amongst former players families, including the girls.

You don't know where they may end up in life, they may be high profile or powerful people who can assist in ways other than just footy.

Hoggy has 4 boys, surely one or two have to make it.

Just curious as to when we may see a father/son pickup.
Like the look of Buckley!

Jo Silvagni was there in one of the shots, so you would expect the 3 boys were as well.

The names on the back of the boy's jumpers helped, I also saw Glen Manton's son.

Apparently he's a bolter.

Has anyone heard anything lately on Jack Silvagni?
He must be getting close to an age where it's worth taking notice of his performances.
From memory he must be 15 or so now?

He was born DEC 97. Right now, that would make him 14.

I know we did not pick up Jake Williams ... Anyone know how old Charley Williams is?

No wonder Andrew Collins isn't getting a game. He's only 14! :P

Also a bit much they had to censor Thomas' surname. I wonder what it really is.

Anyone with kids in junior sport would know what a disadvantage a December birthday is, you can be playing kids nearly a year older.

Just imagine if jake williams turned out like Ablett junior for us.......Add that to the midfield!......Doh!

Looking at the Falcons website All tye Silvagins sem to be doing well..

Tom Silvagni is in the U10's
Ben Silvagni won last years U11's B&F in a premiership year.... :smoking:
Jack Silvagni is in the U15's now...

Tom Johnston was runner up in the B&F in last yeasr U 11's

I really like his father son academy, helps us die hards keep track of the boys a little easier!

I think in a few short years there will be a father son prospect.....

PS: Sextons son moves like a machine in the clip!

Out of the Silvagni's or out of all the father sons in the academy?
