Yep very likely we will play the Dons

If we want to be a major player in September, we need to get some KP players in our side and quickly. Hawthorn will get caught out come finals and we will as well if we don't get Bower, Waite, Jamison and the like up and running. We are really vulnerable down the spine currently and Melbourne showed us up a few times today, especially up back. Our forward line still worries me as well. Kruezer & Warnock just don't lead up to the ball carrier!

Waite and Jamo need to come into teh side ASAP!

I'd prefer to finish 5th and play Essendon* first final. Gewt a win on the board and go to Perth confident..

Otherwise we finish 4th and lose to the Pies (highly likely) and be super nervous when West Coast come here to play. I'd prefer to play them after a win in Perth than after a loss at Etihad!!!

Either way, we should get to week 2 of the finals and we will be playing the Weagles!!

I had this discussion with a Carlton supporter on the train after the game when he said we can't finish 3rd or 4th.

We certainly can finish top 3. Just highly likely that we won't.

It is certainly looking likely that the 2 points from the draw will be what:

- makes us miss top 4 by 2 points, and finish 5th
- scrapes the Scum into 8th by 2 points over Freo

Knocking off Essendon* would be fantastic!

But if we win that, the next week we play the loser of Collingwood vs West Coast (1st vs 4th) and that's most likely West Coast so it would be in Perth!
