THIS !

Agreed. Could not bear a loss and remain in Kal. Would probably have to cut the ties to the rest of the family due to the constant ribbing.

Will not be a cruise (not the K version) as they do have a good press and their ruck division is handy. Should win as long as we are on (please, for the love of all that is dark blue and white).

Would be silly to drop Hendo. Only his 2nd game back, and was fine after half time and was very good last week. I'd bring in Waite for Hoops.

I rate WC moreso than the Swans that we just beat. They just have more individuals (Kerr, Kennedy, Cox, LeCras, Niknat etc...) that can hurt an opposition and a pretty damn good press.

Outs due to injury: Ellard & Hampson should see Warnock get a run. Will the MC be brave enough to give McLean another run?

I'd be filthy if Henderson is dropped after a relatively quite second game back. He is a player we need come finals time and needs the run for his own confidence.

Bring back Waite (if fit) and play him off a half back flank, thus releasing Gibbs to a midfield role.

Blues by 43 pts...

Yeah about Hendo, I think we need to give him a run in the backline, see how he performs, play around with the structures a bit. We don't necessarily have a CHB in the team (even though Laidler could go there). Even though Hendo looked alright in the second half, its gonna be pretty hard to fit Waite & Hendo & Kruezer in there at the same time.

Thornton still concerns me. Really, really needs things going Carlton's way to go anywhere near break-even with his direct opponent.

Agree! They haven't beaten us since I was traded for Juddy!

respectfully disagree, he may get beaten one on one on the odd occasion but his experience and decision making is required in our backline.
I thought he was quite solid for most of the game today.

Would select ahead of ZT at the moment

Saw a comment from Ratts on the CFC Twitter that they were going to wait until Waite (lol) was 100% and not rush him back - sounds like he may not play next week or just Ratts being cryptic?

Yeah, not sure they're playing for the same position/role though.

Forced changes for me would be

Hampson - Warnock
Ellard - Armfield

Hendo should stay in there (at least until Waite's back) and I'd give Houlihan another run.

Cant see Ellard playing - Pretty heavy knock and despite kicking 2 was struggling - Brocky back in
Hammer out for Warnock

will stretch us down back they may consider Austin or Bower - but for who I dont know

Why on earth would you re-structure your backline and midfield around hendo. Piss hendo off bring in waite and the forward line is already 4 goals better for it.....What has hendo done to prove we need him come finals time??????????????????????????

Ellard will be a loss, would've had him run with Kerr.

I think we need another tall, Austin/Bower or Laidler (if fit).

Carlos instead of Warnock? Mobility the key here. It also means Hendo or Waite could play back if needed.

Out: Ellard (concussion), Hampson
In: Waite and Carlos/Warnock

I doubt Waite will be back this week, and unfortunately Hammer might be out, and Ellard also. Not sure of form in the 2s. Brock seems to be in the best every week, but looks pretty unlikely to be promoted. He got subbed at half time in his first game back and dropped after his second - I think we could have given him a third games but that dropping suggests he is gone.

Maybe AJ or Armfield could come in. Hendo is the only one who could be considered for omitting but needs more game time, especially if Waite is not in. We need big guys, they have about 4 giants. Think it will be a real test, they are playing really well. We need to stop their big guys marking and turn size into a weakness when the ball hits the deck. We will have to be at the top of our game in this one.

Big's vs Small's game no doubt.
Lynch, Kennedy, Darling & NicNat run through the forward line. Our boys are going to have their hands full next week and Bower or Laidler is definitely required. Might need to promote Bower, even though really disappointing showing on the weekend by him in the VFL. Same goes for Warnock. He was terrible.
Real dilemma now for the MC this week. Will be interesting.

The height fear comes up every week on here. Dont worry about it i say and the coaches dont seem to mind us being short either . If we organise ourselves like we have done it wont be an issue. Put heat on the ball so they cant get the ball to thier target with any fluency and all of sudden our smaller mobile players have the advantage.

We dont wont to compromise the things that work for us out of fear of height.

The weagles haven't won in melb this year and have been up and down at home, they have won some by big margins but also just scrapped in against GCS, Port and 1 other I forget.

We will be too hard for them and whilst we need and have needed 1 more tall at the back all year, we pressure very well and the ball is picked off by our runners.

We are looking very well set if we win this and all the players/coaches/water boys know this.

We are the real deal and we will win by 5 goals!!!
