I have just had a look at the CFC website and the club has secured some medallion club tickets available for members. The cost is $60, contact the club if interested.

Club has made a few Twitter posts on the subject this morning which should clarify for those of us a bit confused like myself.

Carlton FC wrote:
TICKET UPDATE: Level 3 aisle 36, 37 and 38 from row ‘G’ back is reserved for the exclusive use of Carlton members on a ‘first in’ basis.

TICKET UPDATE: Carlton members without a season reserved seat can scan their membership at the turnstile on the night and sit on level 3.

TICKET UPDATE: The general public can currently pre book a level 3 unreserved general admission (row ‘G’ back) ticket via Ticketmaster.

Was going to go to the game and had intended to reserve seats but probably won't now if it means taking our chances after 2 1/2 - 3 hours in the car.

It won't be a lock-out...surely not. Refuse to pre-book a ticket, or a seat...will rock up early, scan in, get a pass-out, nick off to the pub for a few, come back just before the bounce, find a spot in standing room. Easy done.

Why is the game at Etihad FFS?

Dumb home game deal with Etihad is the answer I know, but the AFL should have moved the game.

I looked at our fixture and we play the Saints in Rd 24 at the G as a home game...perhaps it was between either that game or this one drawing the short straw.

Standing room wouldn't go down too well with a short-arsed 9yo

"Carlton members without a season reserved seat can scan their membership at the turnstile on the night and sit on level 3."

So if I turn up at 5:30-6pm or whenever gates open, I will be fine in finding a seat?

Yep; that section's going to be on a first come, first served basis.

MW has just remembered that she's bought tickets for a local production of Grease on Friday night

Tell her to skip it and you promise her Olivia Newton John in person next Friday night at the MCG

Does anyone know what time General Admission gates open? I had a look at the Match Day Info but it didn't say.

never prebooked tix before...

non-reserved seat member + friend (non-member) - presumably its not an issue to book a couple seats together right?

tried booking - after entering my barcode and requesting an additional ticket - none found/available?

I’m in the same situation. Don’t think it can be done but let me know if you have any luck.

I'd guess the issue is that the seats set aside for pre-booking are almost all taken....maybe only single seats left?
