I dont care whether we are a one man side or not...(which is clearly false anyway)...

As i said in a previous post, everyone complained that Argentina were a one man side with Diego Maradona, but he just happened to win the World Cup..

A couple years back Judd didn't play in a Richmond game (think concussed from prior game against Ess maybe), and Gibbs went into the centre to replace the great man and guess what Gibbs was BOG winning crucial clearance after crucial clearance

Look if we didn't have Judd someone would need to step up and I'd like to think someone would

Reality is we have this wonderful player and we'd rather have him than not have him

I also think often he puts it one himself to win the all important clearances. And in doing this he sort of prohibits others from doing it. They'd be colliding heads otherwise LOL

I think others probably let Judd do it a lot of the time, bec he is the skipper and is the best at doing it (clearances)

But that doesn't mean if he didn't play someone else wouldn't do it

Can't be 100% sure but I think Gibbs showed that day he could do it

The other thing is, we wouldn't have won the other night without Betts either

So maybe we're a 2 man side LOL

We wouldn't have won last week without Judd but McClure is spot on. Hawthorn don't win too may without Franklin nor will Collingwood without Swan. It such a "if my uncle was my aunty" question. The fact is Judd is that good and he plays for us and isn't injured which translates into wins. When his not there we will have as many problems as othersides who lose their best player

Disagree about Swan, reckon Pies could cover him
Similar to how Cats have not lost a game since Gary left
And how Saints last year at least (when they were ahead of other teams re the press) covered the loss of Roo quite well

If we lost Judd now we would start losing some games, because we are not top 1 or 2 just yet (top 3 but it's early days)

But, maybe what would happen is a Gibbs replaces Judd and after a little while develops into a superb onballer/clearance winner

The media are lazy and just rehash their rubbish rather that research their stories.

just a updated version of No Fevola - No Carlton

yeah gibbsy kicked 3 telling goals too - think he may have got the 3 brownlow votes for that game too.

I really hope he can start to play like that more regularly. he can do it.

I agree, Gold Coast is a one man team and look at their success, as fantastic as Juddy is the rest are coming along nicely.
