Have to say this might be a record. A thread with Sydney in the title and 19 posts without any sign of KK.

"Hi, SoC, long time reader, first time poster in this thread"....Just idn't have anything to contribute so for once, thought I should shut my gob.

Can't make it to the function, unfortunately due to work.

Have arranged my seat at the match.

Was rather hoping to catch up with kk (or was that Kk?), but he's not going to be able to make it.

Geez ... I just saw this.

$175 sounds good.

juniors welcome too...even at the pub before the game?

I can bring young Carlton with me, and I'll leave the other crew to stick with the other pre arranged gig.
I can't speak for others at this stage, but if others want to join me I wont know till next week. Too late?

I'll be back in Sydney next week, and despite having made other arrangements, I have to support a Sydney Blues function.

My problem is I have a credit Card, and Mobile and have no way of filling out forms and stuff from here at the Espy.
What do I do?
Bottom line is that I'm in for 1 senior and 1 junior member for the SOC gig with tickets to be with fellow Carltonians.
What if young Carlton's mum thinks it'll be too big a day for the young fella to be with me for the whole day and he joins me for the game. Can I organise a seat for him to be with all the Carltonians I'm intending to be with?

Friday is Good Friday and I guess I'll be able to fill in and send in a form from some computer then, but is that too late?
Look, I'm in if you let me be in but I can't do a thing from my current situation....having a brekky schooner.

I hate all this last mnute pressure stuff...caused by me of course.

Bondi, if you have a credit card all you have to do is ring the club on 1300 CARLTON to organise your tickets. No need to fill out a form.

Don't forget to go to the fox and lion pub at fox studios after the function. Let's overwhelm them on and off the field.

Back in Sydney now, and really looking forward to the SOC function tomorrow, let alone the big game in the evening where we will smash 'em.

I look forward to meeting TCers too.
I'll be the one with the 2 eyes, nose, 2 ears, mouth.....yeah right.

Welcome to Sydney.

Go Blues

Despite the change from the original venue, I finally found my way to the function where I met a few loyal Bluebaggers.
They came from all corners of our continent: Perth, Townsville, Newcastle, Melbourne, Bondi  ....with an air of confidence that we may just get over the Swans.

Let me say this was a well run event with fabulous food, drink and entertainment.
I recommend this function to all Bluebaggers looking to for a good build up to the game and some good laughs; and there were plenty of those.

Sticks was great, and the message was clear: we are heading in the right direction and we're in Sydney for the win.

Jimmy Buckley is a scream; bloody uncooth and hialrious. Perovic was also entertaining and I tell you what, you couldn't help but be proud of being a part of something so great called Carlton FC.

I came to the function with the intent of buying a raffle book or two, but they sold out. My suggestion would be more small prizes and more raffl tickets. You shouldn't run out of raffle tickets because supporters really do want to give, and be part of the process (which you can't if you don't have a raffle ticket).

I did meet Optimum and his 3 mates. Yes I get the Bettsy similarities; nice suntan Optimum. Top blokes...just like all those I met.

Went to the Fox & Lion and there were plenty of Bluebaggers there. Pity I didn't know what Chelodina and other TCers looked like because I would have said g'day to them.

Congratulations to the Spirit of Carlton people.
I'm impressed and moved by the great spirit of the group, so aptly named "The Spirit of Carlton.
I will make an investment in the SOC Business Directory and look forward to being a part of many of the future SOC functions.
Try it yourself, you will not be disappointed.

What a great day. Highly recommend future functions. Sitting on a table with Sid Jackson the whole time was just great and the beers kept flowing the whole day.
Very impressed.

You were on Optimum's table right next to our table.
Was it you spending big on the auctioned memorabilia?
That Syd Jackson is a sceam. He was in great form.
