A question for all those trivia buffs out there, and it's one that's done my head in overnight. When was the last time we beat a team by over 100 points, or by close to what we won by last night?

Cheers

In 2001 we beat the Eagles by the exact same margin as last night, 119 points.

"Best players" are now worked out by lazy SOBs based on Supercoach points.

Like I said, the sort of people that think Swan is a better player than Judd

And not long before that (2000), beating the filth by 111.

Still unhappy with the way we'll move the ball forward of centre. There were times that it was clear we were giving ourselves a breather last night and that's fine and all teams will do that this season, but there were times when no one was daring to send the ball into a contest, or try and create a good 50/50 with a low trajectory kick, running at the zone, etc.

That needs to lift significantly if we're going to knock off the good teams (although I'm not sure who most of them are at this point).

The HS has Curnow with 26 disposals including 12 contested possessions.

Watching Essendon* v Sydney today, i have little doubt that we're a top 4 side...

I think we're finally in that category where 90% of the game, our poise and ball movement is a class above...

Will be very interested in the result of friday nights game. Massive chance for the boys to make a statement to the whole footballing industry.

I was sitting behind the goals (left of screen) and you should have heard the bronx cheers given to K.Hunt when he finally got a kick last night, I actually felt a bit sorry for him in the end. He was just to small in height and too big in the thighs to be competitive.

I guess you can't do much more than beat the opposition by 20 goals, but I don't think we'd be taking much out of the game other than the 4 points and the percentage boost...

Well done to Juddy in a milestone game and Watson in his debut.

I also enjoyed the pre-game function at the Port Office Hotel - well done Spirit of Carlton!!

Wish we would stop kicking the ball backwards (isn't that what Thornton was criticized for) ... especially from the forward line.

Got home late last night after a wonderful weekend in Brisbane.
Had a fantastic time at the game, sitting behind the goals near the GC cheer squad.
It was hard to believe that another team was playing on Saturday night as all we heard was alot of crap about GC. We had to put up with songs, even a Beatles classic-Here comes the Sun prior to the match. There was a really annoying blonde woman asking stupid questions such as how had it will be for AFL in Qld as apparently it is new up there.
What made my blood boil was after the game she had to interview a GC player after they had been thumped by almost 20 goals as Judd was being carried off the ground. Showed no respect at all and was a disgrace.
Had alot of Carlton supporters near where i was sitting and the club had good support overall.
The weather wasnt too hot but there will be some sore bodies this week.
It has been a long time since we had a win like that so we enjoyed the match, giving it to Ablett and the so-called GC supporters.
Go Blues.
Topped off a great weekend by learning at the airport that Essendon* had been beaten by 5 points.

Kezza did you cop any of those beetle looking bugs falling from the sky? Leaving the stand the floor was covered with these bugs, it was like a scene from Indiana Jones.
