SOC

Joined online (via ticketmaster portal) about a month ago and havent received anything. Not too concerned about this one.

Unfortunately the SOC is reliant on the club passing on this information to us when SOC memberships are purchased at the Carlton Shop or online through the CFC website.

The SOC will be chasing up your information from the club ASAP and endeavoring to make sure that the club passes on information to us regarding memberships more quickly.

Apologies for the delay, we will have your membership processed ASAP.

Every year I roll over my membership straight away, and every year I receive it well after everyone else (supporters of other clubs). Simple as that.

My brother and his kids (all Richmond supporters) do the same and get their's before Christmas. Mine don't arrive for a good 4-6 weeks after. Good thing I don't have kids.

Have you got reserved seats?

Yup, and they don't

I have also experienced this.
I think I got mine this month sometime, as they were waiting for the reserve seat allocations to come out before sending out the packs.

The hat is still shit. Makes me angry.

The same thing happened for me, I went to renew online and it had already added $25 (blue believer) to my membership package when I had never asked for it.

I went the phone option as well.

Looks like the automatic BB $25 add is widespread. This would put a lot of marginal renewing supporters off if they try online first.

Isn't it opt out? Sneaky, but you don't have to pay it.

Yes, the Blue Believer is opt out, but it should be opt in.

Thanks for following this up SOC and for creating this thread. Its nice to see something proactive being done.

I had the same issue with BB being opt out on my nieces membership.

Upgraded to gold instead of silver in person at Vizy start of December.

Service there very average. Told would receive letter to confirm membership. Got nothing till I got my card, then my pack 2 weeks later, in Feb. [3 people, 1 house, all 3 arrived on different days]. All 3 packs missing scarf.
Called membership line, disconnected 3 times after holding for several minutes. Girl on phone sent missing scarves straight away and was very friendly and helpful.

Had opposite problem with the BB $25; I had to request to pay that, and also get the Bullants affiliate too.

My renewal letter which comes in Oct/Nov was in same envelope as other 2 members in my house, with an extra 2 people from the same suburb, but different address. Saving on postage I guess, but probably better they get the address right before bundling letters together.

Clearly they are a mess. If Jeanne is going to be in charge of membership, this will be her chance to shine.

Paid Gold Membership early December. Received Tickets before Xmas. Most important component completed no problems.

Did not receive faulty certificate, received correct certificate yesterday. No sign of scarf etc, and no notice to say when it will be/why it is late. Only going by what people have complained about on TC.

Credit where it's due.
I signed up 2 memberships on Monday and received the full package yesterday including membership cards printed with the correct reserved seats. (In time for the game)

BV that just makes it worse for those of us still waiting. I have had nothing from the club as an AFL member, I wouldn't be that surprised if all AFL members were still waiting.

If these people were on performance based contracts, CFC would be liable to slavery charges.

I'm an AFL Club Support member , and have not yet received my extras either (I have friends that are AFLmember and have received theirs). Rang the club again this morning to express my dissapointment about this and to complain about the MCG dinning room for SC members.

The girl on the phone (Hanna was very polite) told me that mine and Bluedude's extras were ordered on the 7th Feb and can't understand why we haven't received them yet. She kindly apologised and put in another order request, said it would take upto 10 days.

I buy three memberships each year. To renew online I have to log on to the membership renewal site individually and renew each membership one at a time despite them each having the same contact email address and being paid for with the same credit card.

I renew the three memberships in the same sitting, so over the course of half an hour or so. The two junior members, who both have identical memberships, received their membership packages a week apart. Not a big deal unless you're trying to placate a young kid who is distraught that their sibling has their gear and they don't. Surely it would be more efficient to ship memberships to the same address together.

Ditto above but with two memberships, even then it's still annoyingly repetitive doing the data entry...

I never got my cap tokens so I phoned the club and they said I could pick up at the ground at Gate 3.

Went there and explained the situation and they said they said they had no idea what I was talking about BUT, they did give me two caps as I had my memberships with me.

So it was good in the end, but I thought that it could have been handled a tad better.
