I think it's a positive that we're spreading our wings across the country. We should be portraying ourselves as a national brand.

Fully support the club going to Canberra. Don't support Bulldogs and Lions playing on Saturday @ Visy Park when the surface isn't right to go.

Not a positive if we play a below standard team and the fitness program is based on a number of competitive games pre-season so we can be ripe for Tiggers round one :banghead:

I can't find a rule that says we can't give them some of our players to even the sides up a bit.

Look at it this way, there is nothing like a confidence boost.

There are still 3 other games till round one so don't worry. It would be a lot worse to play them in the last round of the NAB.

What a mess.

Get some time into the kids now, and maybe make up the extra minutes for the senior players in the following two weeks.

Not ideal. Can't see how this helps us prepare for the season in any way.

Garbage game.
Why are they even in the NAB challenge anyway.
As has been said before, an intra-club would be of more value.

They'll send the bottom 25 players to Canberra for this one.

Without GWS, they would an uneven number of teams in the NAB Challenge pool so a club would miss out on a game. I realise that any club missing out could quite easily arrange an intraclub game, I suppose the excuse of an odd number of teams probably justifies their inclusion

Look on the bright side people.

Taking the short straw this week virtually assures the blues of getting a game at the home of football next week.

The boys have an extra week to plan for the return of footy to visy park

See you all there...level 2 of the hawthorn stand

GWS will be pumped as I think the VFL pre-season starts the following week... they've gotten some fantastic pre-season games under their belt already.

Might be a better hit out than expected, as I think Sydney had a bit of fire in the belly for their first derby.

i didn't see the games but GWS kicked 3 in a row to hit the lead against the suns so they can't have been THAT bad.

we should stil comfortably win with just our seconds.

still id rather play them this week, and the short travel to canberra is a lot better than alice springs or somewhere like that.

hopefully this means our remaining two games at in melbourne.

GWS will be so tired by half time, I would hate to think we would play a strong side against them so although they kicked a few against the Suns, they only played 40 minutes of footy after a massive break.

Look out for number 30 with GWS, Damien Williams, NT lad from Katherine. Good young kid with a fair bit of talent. He is best mates with Jed Anderson, Joeys young brother. Jed goes alright as well.
