We've just checked with WillowBlue and can confirm on this point;

- Ricky McLean didn't play in a premiership at the Tigers. He was in the 1972 side that lost to Carlton and was dropped from the 1973 side and not in the 1974 side.
- No player played in premeirships at both Carlton and Richmond
- Of the players that played at both Carlton and Richmond and played in a premiership at either club were Bill Barrott (when he was at Richmond a he played in their 1967 & 1969 sides) and Peter Francis at Carlton (in 1979).

So therefore no one has left one Club for Premiership Success at the other.

We still got to show off some of our great pics though.

Tim Powell played in our 1993 Grand Final side - from memory he didn't play too many more as a result!
Justin Murphy was arguably our best player in 1999 Grand Final until he unfortunately did his knee.

Hopefully Andy Collins goes one better!

Didnt ex Blue Ben Harrison snag the winning goal for the Tuggers against us at Princes Park in Rnd 22 1997 to kick us out of the Top 8 and a finals berth in the very last round ?

Yeah, reasonable lawyer. Suspended sentence, I think.

Chris Bond went from the blues and had a pretty good career at the tiggers. of course no premierships, but I think he might have even been a Richmond B&F at one point.

I always liked Bond. thought he could have done well at the Blues. Of course he would have had some pretty stiff competition in one G. Williams

Denis Collins?

Dud.

Good at facial hair, but...

According to one Blueseum scribe:

Denis Collins almost played in the Tigers 1980 flag, but was supposed to go to a team meeting or meet a team doctor the night before the GF. He didnt go as he went to the pictures with his girlfriend so they left him out of the side and put in Darrel Freame who played bugger all games for the Tigers

Used to love the way Hickmott went about his footy for us.

Denis Collins - will be forever remembered in the Sensational Seventies when Robbie Muir unleashed on him at Moorabbin Rd 22 1978. Collins was an emergency for Richmond when they won it in 1980.

It wasn't as a player, but Perce Bentley did OK at Carlton after crossing from Richmond:

B: Kevin Heath Glen Manton Matthew Hogg
HB: David Rhys-Jones Val Perovic Heath Scotland
C: Greg Williams Bill Barrott Chris Judd
HF: Matthew Lappin Earl Spalding Dean Rice
F: Adrian Hickmott Brad Pearce Greg Wells
R: Justin Madden Ron Barassi Peter Bedford
Int: Bernie Evans Nick Stevens Matt Clape Lachie Henderson

This is what I've come up with from the top of my head (team of good imports over the past 40 years or so). Can someone fill in the blanks - I'm sure I've missed some obvious ones.

(You wouldn't mind that centre line would you?)

Edits:
1. Thanks BV - completely forgot about Rhys. duh - a NS medallist.
2. Thanks Rexy - Bernie not quite as good as Wells and Bedford, so slots in on the bench.
3. Rexy added Scotland.
4. Thanks CK95 for Matthew Hogg and Nick Stevens.
5. Warby added the Bolt!
6. Klakker added Lappin.
7. And I'm making a judgement call - Hendo!!!

Not a bad looking team.....

David Rhys Jones on the HBF. The Swans have been good value to us for imports.

Bernie Evans. Unluckily missed the '87 grand final.
