Won't happen but Mike Fitzpatrick is the type of leader the club needs....

True. But that's been the case for a long time.

Rumour on BF that there will be a challenge by Falour and a ticket he has formed. Reporting that a board meeting has been called for Monday night.
Anyone here know anything?

Rumor here in Denmark is that we are swapping Sticks for Eddie. Eddie believes that he has now achieved all he could at the Pies and is now ready to follow his good friend Swan.

Rumors here are usuall right off the money.

Synbad on BF is making it sound like a big war but this story has been going around for months. Dr Sherrin has been speaking of a handover for a while now. Dr did say it was going to be Greminder but now it looks like Fahour. To me it sounds like Sticks has had his turn and is keen to hand it over.

Funny to see synbad still ranting out the old stuff. " sticks recommended we get O'Rielly !........ He has to go .....right????? "

If Judd reckons we are only a KKP away from challenging the best, why haven't we been chasing one?

Sorry to disappoint those who want him out, but Sticks is going no where. Geminder won't do it, and Fahour won't run or be asked. Sticks will wait until the right person is identified before he steps down, or is asked to. The CFC is not a rabble or in crisis. Syners is making it all up again.

Sticks, Harrison and Coutts and anyone else unwilling to fully embrace the grassroots membership need to be replaced.

Carlton needs to become much more progressive than they've been in terms of communication and openness.

I think our board is too big and probably heading towards staleness... In saying that there is still some real talent on there which needs to stay.
I dont think Sticks is hanging around for the sake of it (counter to what Synbad says)- I genuinely dont htink anyone else better credentialed has put their hand up.

In a perfect world, the Board (and senior staff) would be restructured and the positions would be paying gigs, not voluntary ones. To that extent the AFL still retains an element of amateurism and it's not due to size or non-team ownership; it's just antiquated club constitution and lack of cash.

1. President and CEO
2. Executive VP Commercial Operations
3. VP Marketing
4. VP Finance and CFO
5. VP Corporate Sales
6. VP Membership/Brand Management
7. VP Communications and Broadcast

The aforementioned 7-person board would be my preference.

I agree Doc.. Needs to be paid employment and there needs to be better ways to hold members to account. Maybe we can be innovative in this regard?

Then we'd immediately have to dispense with department heads or chunks of departments to free up the cash.

A couple of the roles Doc has mentioned could be merged, and there'd certainly have to be an individual linked with the football department. Patsies need not apply.
