Wouldn't go as far to kick Ratten out and give Woosha the gig, but he was a very handy assistant to Parko and Brittain once upon a time.

The Bullants of today are far better than the Carlton of 5-8 years ago. I think we're referring to Carlton circa 1980.

The Carlton of old was about Premierships.

They didn't hesitate to sack coaches as soon as things turned bad.

Walls premiership coach ousted what less than 2 yrs later? The list goes on.

Matthews, Roos, Laidley, Malthouse, Williams... lots of proven coaches potentially out there, no better time to go coach shopping than now, rarely do you have so many highly rated coaches available

Ratten talks of bringing mouthguards to training. But he has been talking tough for a month now and still we get pantsed in hard ball gets in the first quarter. The msg aint getting through, so time to change the msg sender.

Carlton of old could not accept 7th as a good result

I know we are young but that's no excuse for the players not playing for the coach and there being little to no game plan - headless chooks trying to bring the ball into the F50m zone, no idea whatsoever

Daniel Harford (who's been at the club) said its confidence issue. He commentated the game and said it looked like either our players don't believe they're any good or that they don't believe in the direction given. He then said he thinks its a bit of both and he is spot on!

Not taking a swipe at you or Harf, but for mine he is off the mark. He was at the club for about 5 minutes, when Pagan was coach and when we had a list full of old re-treads such as Bret Johnson, Cory McGrath, David Clarke and the list goes on. Further, he was at the club during our darkest period, when confidence levels were down the most. His comparisons to then and now are way off I think. If you look now we have a lot more hope, talent, and genuine belief of where we are going. Two very different eras of the club; the darkest era, and the era of a resurgence. Better to compare apples with apples I say.

And not taking a swipe at you but Harf has the played the game at the highest level and has seen both sides of the story being at the Hawks and Blues.

and don't take this personal mate but you must be delusional if you think our effort last night and the past 5 weeks is not a concern that something is wrong.

Harford is involved with the club a bit more than me and you know what, I agree with him.

I don't think it matters where you sit, but just looking at the Blues, the Blues do not look confident in what they are doing or how to execute the plan, otherwise it would be obvious they are confident with their ability and the plan.

Not for the first time, our lack of system was exposed in a clear brutal fashion by the dogs. We had plenty of zip for the first 10 minutes but as the dogs proceeded to unravel us the boys capitulated in a massively meek way.
To ignore or to brush off what was clear to see for all as just an aberration is to live in denial.

Let's just hope the influential people at Carlton can find a way to 'right the ship'.

Its fooking simple
When you believe unconditionally in the leader's philosophy, ordinary men can do extraordinary things (Rich with hardwick and Coll with MM)

Unfortunately, Carlton's case is the polar opposite.

No point sacking Ratts now, but boy the entire football dept needs a blowtorch of solar magnitude placed on them at season's end.

Carlton is going backwards at a fast rate of knots. Same old piss poor performances every two to three weeks. with the talent we have, it is unacceptable. Maybe when the Tiges and WC beat us in the next 4 weeks, people will take notice.

This bloke would walk through the place. He mightn't say anything...he'd just pass by the office of everyone working at Carlton and give a wave...not with a smile...just a polite wave.

At Carlton, Wes Lofts walking through the place generally means 'You're on notice'. If you see him again, resign yourselves to your last words being 'Et tu, Brute?'

Spot on !..................our club is crying out for backroom maulers.Wes,George Harris,Laurie Kerr,Bugsie Comben.........etc,etc.
Wasnt that what the Diesal and "The Dog" were supposed to be?..........these two need to get cracking or stand aside for others to take up the slack. You are either in,or you are out.No half measures.I have been around the joint for a hell of a long time Doc..............i'll be honest.I love Sticks,Ratts,Dog and the Diesal. But right at the moment they are treading water,if that.Next weeks game against the Swans will determine the future of our club.It is a watershed game.A defining moment. If we go down its slash and burn for me.A scorched earth policy.

First 5 mins we went inside F50 once and that was due to a free kick our way

His team has looked terrible without Judd and Cousins.

We've already got Juddy.

Isn't Cousins out of contract at the end of this season?

So all we need to do is sakc Ratts, and bring in Woosha, and Cousins.

INSTANT PREMIERSHIP!!!
