not too good with the stats and this versus that, but to me, seeing Hendo last weekend, I was left with the feeling that we might have picked up on the swing what we missed on the round-a-bout. I think we have seen a glimpse of what is to come.

Very true pal!

Lachie had a very nice 3rd qtr from memory, was moving very well
He looked like he had the potential to dominate and turn a game - was very happy with his work.

Recalling from memory, JK is close to 200 cm. If that is the case then the additional weight is understandable.

But give both him and Carlos some slack when they have an off day - very inexperienced both of them (Carlos as a full forward that is).

Lachie Henderson

JK doesn't play for us. Stop living in the past of comparing a traded player to a active player.

I just had another look at the Hawthorn game from the weekend and Lauchy is going to be a gem, don't worry about that. :gift:

Kennedy is better than Gumbleton at this stage. Henderson is only marginally behind Gumbleton but a few more games this year like his game against the Hawks might push him past Gumby.

True unless you measure them on games played ( i think). If Gumby can stay out there we will be very hard to stop in a few years time.

...but correct at this moment of time Henda and Kennedy are a little better than Gumby.

What about Lachlan Hansen... wowsers... we dodged a bullet passing on him.

Remember pre-draft 2006? We had to get Hansen or we had to get Leunberger. Both look only OK.

Not for mine! I was on the Gibblet train all year and the talk of going Luey was making me sick. Had an Essendon* mate getting stuck into that we were going to pass on Bryce and take Luey, and they would snare Gibbs. Still remember the morning i got my afl pocketnews sms confirming he was ours. To this day I can't work out why any Carlton supporter would have wanted either of those two over Gibbs.

Good times

Apart from everything else it would've been a hassle typing LEUENBERGER all the time instead of

GIBBS

Gumbleton has the best hands.

Gumby's hands are so sticky, he could be Spiderman.

Unfortunately his sticky hands affect his ball drop, so I reckon Kennedy has the best kick.

Henderson would be the best athlete and more versatile tall.

Has played ruck, forward and back with Brisbane.

..dude, i just can't see the 'athlete' label for Hendo..for me he's a footballer thru and thru.. ..he can play CHB cos he's versatile, not cos of his huge athletic ability.. ..as for any turns in the ruck, only as a last resort, kinda like we did to JK back in the day....

I think gripes turn out to be athletic and those we want but don't have turn out to be 'real footballers'.

I think the mobility tag comes from the great pace he has for a very tall man.
His stamina is something he's obviously worked on.
He's a work horse in my books.
Keeps on keeping on.
Presents.

I think that's because he plays for Essendon*.
