As someone said Waite has been walking a fine line all season, having escaped narrowly against the Saints and in the first game against Richmond too. It was a pretty tough hit this week, certainly reportable and I guess 2 weeks is about right, although Motlop did a similar hit on Simpson (?) yesterday, just not head-high but eyes nowhere near the ball.

Anyone know what's happened with Brown?

Waite was stupid, guilty, even if it is split second decision.

Swallow your pride, take it and learn from it.

Dont do it again.

My favourite player is Waite, then Judd and Murphy.

His silly snipe was really unnecessary, and a very low act.

I hope that will be the last of the low acts from Waitey.

He deserves to be suspended for more. Lucky not to inflict some really serious damage.

If it was Chad Cornes, or Lloydy...now that's another story.

If that was a very low act, I'm Mahatma Gandhi.

What's the game @#$%&! come to if a glancing bump is considered a low act?

Next you'll tell me that Craig Hutchison has won a Walkley Award.

:sly:

Solomon's hit on Ling and Holland's hit on Montgomery were very low acts.

Laughable to give Waite's bump three weeks like Mumford's slam tackle.

Yet some say Waite should have tackled because that's safe...

In case you didn't know, Mark Fraser (ex-essendon player and still passionate Essendon* supporter) is the chairman of the match review panel. I went and saw him as a physio a year or so ago (hopeless, too, by the way), and he explained he follows the bombers closely and is just as passionate about them at the time as he was growing up.

Essenscum is corrupt

Waite should have changed his name to David Hille.

Otherwise, cop it on the chin *boom, boom* and move on.

Vin would've been proud. That sort of stuff was par for the course in his day. Doesn't fly these days unless you're an Essendon* ruckman.

I remember Vin doing it all the time.

Jarrod should have kept his elbow tucked in. Still, it gives Henderson his chance. I hope he makes something of it.

..lucky he just clipped him, cos the intent was there to knock his head right off.. ..funnily enough, he tried taking it off Davenport's shoulders not too long earlier and 'missed' him.. ..he's been leading with a raised elbow a few times this season and this time he connected.. ..stupid and foolish play..

Lucky it's only 2 weeks. I hope he learns from it this time, it was very poor form.

Teddy, SOV's arm was firmly tucked in.

It was the hit to the head that that got him the 3/2 weeks.

gee, I thought that it was a great statement of intent - Poret had been sniping all day - particularly the lowlife scumbag pimple - and this was at a critical moment. It said we were not going to take a backward step.

Actually the lack of remonstartion from PA surprised me. The game was just about won and lost there.

Fool.
It might relieve his frustration but the club loses his services for 2 weeks.
Selfish action.

Until precedent comes into the tribunal the same crap will continue to go on.

It's quite clear the front head on bump is back in vogue and being championed by the MRP. My question is, who's going to be the scapegoat when the AFL come down on it again? Better not be a Carlton player

You mean to tell me that Judd's act of looking for pressure points is worse than someone getting and elbow to the head ?.

The AFL tribunal is a joke.

Before long AFL players will be wearing skirts, unable to take more than 1 step and become a non-contact sport.

Carlton's Jarrad Waite will miss the Blues' next two games after accepting a two-match ban today for a high hit on Port Adelaide's Jason Davenport.
