yeh, x2 on the internet feed.
altho won't cry if we lose.
seriously wouldn't mind warming up for this year out of the eyes of the nation.
if we can surprise a couple in the first couple of rounds, be 2 and 2, then it should be happy days.

1. Seeing Kreuz, Warnock, Hampson, Setanta and Casboult in action for us
2. Seeing Kennelly and Malceski in action for them.
3. Seeing what happens when Jesse White goes forward for them - how that might work when Bradshaw is fit and firing

Kennelly will slot straight back into his usual playig style and do well, but i'm particularly keen to see if Malceski is going to get back anywhere near his 2007 form... I reckon if he had've been told that, "yes, we can have you back in action in 12 weeks max - but you're going to play like a dog for the next two years" he might've made a different decision.

If none of those look likely, i'll probably nod off in the chair with a bottle of Tokay or something.

Probably sneak in a pull too.

You're only in it for the SC, aren't you?

(and the pull, obviously)

Wouldn't mind a loss except hopefully, it's not on a Richmond-esq type scale.

I think the game is free to air in Melbourne on channel 10. There used to be a site around where you could watch the local Melbourne stations but I can't remember its name.

Yeah, but nah.

Genuine interest in Malceski with that knee op. It struck me as strange at the time since soccer wasn't pushing the development of the technique.... With Kennelly, I guess i'm a bit delusional thinking that Aisake might want to give it another crack at some point.... The White/Bradshaw situation ought to set up as we were expecting a Kreuzer/Fevola combo to set up, so there would be some interest in that as well.

Sydney are pretty light on for quality tall timber. Goodes could run end to end and play third man up, but would be robbing Peter to pay Paul.... it shouldn't be difficult to spread them wide at the HF and kick running goals through the corridor.

Forward line function and scoring power will be the key. It will also really irritate me that they will keep harping on about our departed forward.

Prepare to be irritated Taff.

On the plus side though, you'll no longer be irritated by constant harping on about a certain full-forward's ball grip.

I hope we win, but I doubt we will.

It would be good to get a few wins into the boys.

There are several sure things that will be reported out of this match:
The name Fevola (win/lose/draw)
The booze-cruise
And something relating to "summer antics".

I dunno what's wrong with people Verbs. I'm fair dinkum fired up about getting to switch the tele on Saturday night and watch the lads play! And I've been hanging out to see the squad all week. Hoping Steven Browne gets picked, and maybe Kane Lucas and Levi Casboult too! The countdown is on in earnest I reckon. Bring on season 2010!!!

One point to make though Dominator7 is that if you hope to see Fevola play in that potential match-up then you'll be disappointed. He's already said he will keep the powder dry until he plays us in round 2.

Yippee... the squads are in!

What to make of the squad?

Ellard and Garlett as the only rookies. Probably a fair call, and indicative of the fact that Casboult has much more fitness to gain before he can be considered. Ellard deserves his shot from all reports - so well done to him if he stays in the final squad.

We've named all four ruckmen. WOW! Bondi can I get your opinion on this one? Anyway, I guess one of them drops out of the squad, or maybe becomes an emergency. I know the club is very keen to play Warnock, so you can stamp his name. So who might miss the squad? My actual guess is that Kreuzer and Jacobs might rotate as emergencies.

Kane Lucas and Marcus Davies both named to make their debuts after being drafted in November. Well done to both lads! Though if I had to take a guess, I would say Davies may be omitted from the final squad.

McLean, Warnock, and Henderson all to make their debut in the navy Blue. Gotta be happy with that!

Pleased to see Yarran, Browne, and Grigg all given a chance to impress.

How many are cut from the squad? I can't remember. If there are four who are cut, then my guess is that we'll go in without Davies, Anderson, Ellard, and Wiggins. I'll then say that Jacobs and Setanta will be emergencies and swap on for Kreuzer and Henderson at some stage in the match.

GO BLUEBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
