However I'm gonna go for a simple decision and one that through the efforts of philanthropy and sponsorship preserves our history for all to see. I'm of the opinion that not enough people know, or particularly care about our history. I want a living 'Blueseum'. I want it underneath the Gardiner Stand (there is a lot of room under there) and I want the Gardiner to be shown the respect it deserves and be given a facelift to bring it back to it's former glory.

Wouldn't it be great to walk from the new facility into a state of the art Carlton Museum that was part interactive?

The current monogram is art. It's absolutely beautiful.

I find it humorous the same people who bleat on about reviewing the monogram and going back to the old style are the same ones who talk of us needing to become a more modern, progressive business entity.

Changing the monogram back isn't going to turn a light switch on within our players. It isn't going to make them more skillful or fitter or more accountable off the field. It's a cosmetic feature of the jumper, ultimately, because when all is said and done the letters still read CFC and they still mean Carlton Football Club.

Sure, it'd be easy to change it back. But, the act of reverting to the old is the embodiment of all people want this club to avoid. It's looking back, not forward.

The monogram was changed by the John Elliott regime.

I think there are 1 or 2 (or 50) more pressing issues atm than the shape of the monogram..

I'd recruit Roughhead at the end of the season.

Ok, by some miracle you are granted the ability to make one decision involving the Carlton Football Club, what will it be?

I'd go back in time and trade Fevola for Judd, not Kennedy. :hitcomputer:

That or send a terminator back in time to kill Hamill, O'Reilly and Camporeale.

It's stuff like this that makes me realize a lot of posters on here are absolute tools.

That wasn't me, but his reaction to your post could have easily mistaken for me under my first username.

If the official version of our song does include the words, "send US" (and not "send UP"), have the recorded version of the song (played at the ground before games and after a win) changed accordingly.

Having two versions of the song is embarrassing.

Threaten Wayne Hughes with the sack if he drafts another flowering midfielder next draft.

A powerful, charismatic, wealthy, elite, recently retired major CEO to take over the presidency in a smooth transition from Sticks, allowing our great former captain to move to a position in the club in which he is more suited (in the football department)

As a second choice I want more intellect and tactical acumen in the coaches box, which doesn't necesarily have to be a former buddy/teammate or even someone who has played at AFL level. Think laterally Carlton about your appointments

I couldnt care less about the monogram

Great idea.

Essendon* and Hawthorn's museums are great... World class... and it helps build a fan's allegiance to a club to know a bit about the history of the club.

I guess we don't have the money to have a similar museum - it is better to spend the money on the football department, but at the very least it would be good to have an interactive video section where you play footage of a player and the viewer can ask questions about the player.

You could include rare footage etc...try and use video technology basically.

+1

Hopefully the first thing he'd do would be to bring in Lethal or poach MM (might be a sour SOB, but gets a lot from the list he has).

Getting rid of Sticks would change the landscape of this footy club.
Alot of people hold onto him to keep the status quo.
Being a steak and eggs man himself... Sticks doesnt like change.

Synbad, we've established that you want Sticks out. So who would you like to see replace him and why.
