Get with the program Molsey......we're well and truly past the Dark Ages.

I bet you see more than one flag during fatherhood. :gift:

2012 - Marc Murphy.

NS is almost always a goalkicking midfielder -- someone that piles up possessions and kicks a few goals on the day.

This year it was Paul Chapman. Even though he's more of a half-forward than anything else he racks up those possessions and gets the goals that count.

When it comes to a grand final I think that the natural Norm Smith fit for the Blues is Marc Murphy. Goal scoring mid.

When it comes to the Brownlow Medal I believe that the natural fit for the Blues (aside from Judd) is Bryce Gibbs. Racks up the possessions and always attracts the umpire's eye.

So, 2010 -- Bryce Gibbs finishes 2nd in the Brownlow Medal. One vote behind back-to-back winner, Gary Ablett
2011 -Bryce Gibbs wins the Brownlow Medal. Ablett goes to Gold Coast and doesn't do nearly as well.
2012 - Bryce Gibbs finishes 2nd in the Brownlow Medal (behind Selwood) but the Blues win the premiership with Murphy winning Norm Smith. We beat Adelaide in the Grand Final by 27 points (Murphy 3 goals, dishing several others off), the team that defeats us in the finals in both 2010 and 2011.

You are like a dog with a bone Synbad...... I don't necessarily share your opinions....... but who knows - your thoughts might have some weight??? But a few of us are getting tired of the negativity in this continuedal crusade of yours!

Anyway back to the question.........

By End 2011/2012 our young guns will be mid twenties and strong enough to do the job. Also Matthew Pavlich (you heard it first here) will have been here for a year and ready to go bang at Full Forward! Him and Juddy will be just hanging on to their prime and then 'sweet 17th' will come.

its the vibe...... Sticks and Ratts dont have it.. and we wont have ultimate success with that structure.

We will win one in 2015 or before then, surely. If we have to wait until 2015, then at least it can commemorate 20 years since our last flag, a bit like the breaking of the drought in 1968, where the club didn't win one for 21 years.
Bryce Gibbs for the Norm Smith.

It took 3 wooden spoons to build this list, we had better get 3 flags out of them to make up for it !!

2012 - Judd
2013 - Murphy
2014 - Gibbs
2015 - Kreuzer

Opps, thats 4, oh well I don't think anyone here will mind !!
