I thought Cloke earned himself another year by playing the required amount of games this season?

Rumour is Cloke chose to forgo the extra year, so he can sign with Port.

We're not so much delisting Cloke as he's electing not to re-sign with us.

Thats why he's going and Fisher is staying.

couldn't agree more - but why would you delist cloke and keep fisher

i would have thought that cloke leads well and kicks miles better than fisher, is a presence and is strong - can't fathom some decisions.

maybe those who see carlton live eaxh week can enlighten me as we only see games on telly

Fisher's father isn't a Damir.

Fisher isn't a bad egg.

If we take Fisher, Cloke, Wiggins and Johnson off the list, we would have to replace them using picks 75, 91 and 107.

I'd rather have Wiggins, Fisher and Johnson in our bottom six than the underdeveloped dregs you will draft that late.

Apparently we'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel with picks 43 and 59, yet alone with even later picks.

If Wiggins, Fisher and Johnson are rated higher than the available players and able to fill a need, it makes sense that they stay.

Like it or not, Fisher will get a game next year.

Even Geelong and St Kilda had hacks getting a game this year.

So why wouldn't Fisher stay as a fall back solution :?:

Or should we play Tiller before he's ready :?:

Don't forget, Carlton will need three players to delist next year as we start picking at selection 18 to 20. :donk: :banghead:

Jeez, I almost had a heart attack when I read 'full back' instead of 'fall back'. Either way, he'll be lucky to get a regular game IMO.

It would appear that the club is determined to destroy even the last hopes of a workable forward line. Cloke wasn't great, but he scored a lot of goals this year for the two's. So he has to go. Fisher has had years to develop and is still way too slow (how do you mark a ball if you can't reach a contest?) and can't kick worth sh*t. I don't see that changing.

Are we really expecting Kruz to play CHF AND ruck?
Or Setanta to finally figure it out and start playing like he knows what's going on?
Eddie Betts was our second best goal-kicker this year. Do we think he can carry the whole team?

What's the point of a dominant midfield if there's no forward line? It was bad enough WITH Fev.
I shake my head in disbelief.

Playing the Calton way used to mean putting the best team possible on the ground.
The current 'deciders' seem to have completely lost the plot.
I am not looking forward to next years season.

That's right Cloke wasn't great and he's definitely not part of our next flag...

Why put off the inevitable?....and why allow Cloke to take up a space and put our development back another year or more. Chuck the kids in there who we want to succeed with, the more time they have the better IMO.

people are probably right in saying that cloke has more to offer than fisher, but cloke is not worth a 3 year deal.

obviously he's looking after his future and we lose him for no reward.

such is life and i have no doubt we can still move forward without him
