Ian Aitken on SEN.

I don't think he has much time for Clarkson

In fact I think Aitken is like most of us who remember the incident, he hates the cauliflower

He thinks that the cauliflower would have been rubbed out for a year if the incident had happened in todays era

surely someone can put it on youtube, but the age did put a still of the incident with the story

So true, and well put by Ian.

Clarko has form alright, going back decades.

He also had that tirade at a press conference was it this year or last year? The guy has izzues.

not just one press conference - at least one other was down here in tassie where he was absolutely foul.

but lets not forget what other thuggish behaviour he has taught his players, especially mitchell. remember the deliberate kneeing of gary ablett and others that they got pinged for. footy karma will fix the r-soles

apparently Robbie through his phone at John Kennedy as the unwritten rule was that it was just a kick and giggle until North went over the top to 'prove a point'.

Kennedy was far from happy with Clarko and made his own statement for the rest of the game by refusing to take Clarko off the ground.

He said something to the tune of...if you're going to do such an awful act you gotta stay on for the rest of the game and cop whats coming to you.

F$%k it was fun watching the boys hammer into him for the rest of the game.

The whole thing seemed to just erupt when Rhys took that speccie.

Kudos to Ian for not being afraid to voice his honest opinion over what is no doubt the most vivid memory of his footy life (in addition to the 87 flag of course) and to label Clarkson as the sniping little @#$%&! we all know him to be and highlighting that to the whole footy world.

A read of the related BF thread would have to be the one time at least 14 other clubs have united with Carlton supporters on something

When Clarkson was restrained by his footy manager at the end of game the HUN has reported that his words to Lloyd were: " You better flowering retire you flowering weak Carmichael Hunt".
Class act.

Never ceases to amaze me that amount of times this guy has a suspended fine hanging over his head or is totally absolved of being a boorish lout.

The AFL pussyfoot around him like there is no tomorrow.

I was at the "Battle Of Britain" game and to suggest that Clarkson was anything but a gutless wonder would be an understatement.

Having attended 4 of the exhibition matches they were generally regarded as a time for a bit of showmanship and largely playful push and shove for the crowd. After the thing was over all the boys were back into what they were really there for, that being an end of year party.

Clarkson took it to another level completely with such a cowardly and wicked act.

The hypocrisy of the Hawthorn Coach is breathtaking!
Got it in one! Hypocrisy and then some.
I was there as well. I don't think I'll ever forgive Clarkson for that. To find he hasn't even apologized.... I don't think I've ever had much respect for him, but this is so typical.
If I were Aitken, I'd be sending him my bills. And probably more.

Lloyd's action were not much better. He is a dirty coward as well and has gotten away scott free. I don't care what G.Lyon says, Sewell hasn't forgiven and forgotten.

pfft, why be surprised at the AFL.

They want to outlaw the bump because they are scared of how it makes the game look, yet let Clarkson off just as they did with Sheedy's infamous throat cutting incident.

Whats worse? Physical contact in the course of the game or a threatening throat slitting gesture or abusive tirade that was thought on, considered and then acted upon?

The game is being run by clowns
