I'm on the 11:05 Qantas flight from Melb. Once I quickly check into the hotel I'm keen to go somewhere and watch the Geelong vs Dogs game over a few schooners, as they call them up there.

Anywhere know a place close to Roma St Station (where my hotel is) that'll show the game?

I was on the Gold coast earlier this year (Freo game) and it was schooners. I was of the understanding that it's the closest thing to a pint up there?

Too much southern influence down the Goldie. The standard drinks throughout Queensland have always been a beer = 7 oz and a Pot = 10 oz. Don't ask me how many kilowats/kilometers/kilograms etc. that is. I don't drink beer these days. I am a proud wino.

Some southerners call them " Middys " ...which means a " Pot " of beer up here

The large glass is called a " Schooner "

Oky Doky

Couldn't give a flower what they are called anymore, just ask for my brew of choice in the largest glass available. Rock on!
