and most of our other veterans he has struggled with whateve rit is were attempting to do out there,,,,

The veterans afliction is just about grabbed a hold of Juddy and Stevo now.

We have had precious very little given to us by our over 25s....

...... thats massive problem...

A rotten culture of greed and laziness over the decade has affected that age group moreso than anything else

Thats the excuse we had under Pagan..... but is it possible we just dont have the guys around the club and the environment to extract maximum out of these kind of players??

Do we not understand how to motivate? How a carrot is used?

I mean often you can throw Carratzzo in that group 2 and Simmo...

There is little consistancy......from our older players..

Maybe Carrots is the carrot???

The MC flowering up doesn't excuse the senior players from half arsed efforts.

But there is something wrong between the ears as far as senior players go....

And almost the whole lot of them......

.... its just too much of a coincidence...

A decade long culture of unaccountability.

The only people held to account pre Pratt were Elliott and Smorgon ...BY THE MEMBERS!!

Those senior blokes were basically given the green light just to turn up each week and 'do what you like inbetween' ...which they did!!   . To think I financially supported the club during this time.. :donk: :donk:

Stevo Houla Scotto have all been given a message this year which is overdue. That's one area where the MC has done well...but it's really too late for some of those players.

Now if only the MC can just tidy up the gamestyle...

I don't care what they think. He should NOT play down back. He missed a couple of tackles last week that cost shots at goal.
If he is running free he takes a good player from the other team. That frees up Gibbs or Fisher or Simmo or someone else to run around and kick goals.

He's played well both in defense and attack this year.

Now that he's been arguably our best player in a losing, bruising final, getting both inside and outside ball, disposing brilliantly with composure, tackling and blocking, in defense and attack....... can we finally stop all the crap ignorant talk.

Look, we all know he's not the most in-and-under, and we all know he's not the fastest. But gees, for a pick in the high 70s, he's played 180 games and continues to give pretty good service.

Time to lay off him now.

There was only one incident I didn't like when he was paddling the ball in front of himself in D50 and just lazily let the ball run behind him and barely tried to turn around to get back to the contest. Lucky AJ was there (IIRC) to push the ball over the boundary line.

Played well though

Conversely, in another incident, AJ almost cost us a goal by keeping the ball in play, and it took Hoops to rush it over for a point.

It's a team game, and when players back each other up, good stuff happens to compensate for bad stuff.
