Surely those two last quarter goals will get Carrots an NRS nomination.

You'd think so. He'd be stiff to miss.

Very frustrating game to watch, I'm happy we didn't lose but I can't help but be concerned.........

Welcome back Gibbsy!

Bearing in mind that I didn't see the first half, I thought we played quite well. The defensive intensity was there to run and chase and commit to rolling down the zone and when we were attacking we ran hard to create options for the guy with the ball. We didn't always lower our eyes and pick the best option, at times the execution was lacking and some of our younger defenders were out-pointed in contests. But we played as a team, we won, and I'm happy and proud. Go Blues!

Mark Austin's progress is an interesting one.

He put his teammates under enormous pressure more than once today and I'd say he owes Army a couple of beers for getting his nose messed up.

His body isn't ready for the body on body contests, but he's pretty good at spoiling. There's loads of potential there, whether its as a CHB or CHF.

He and the umpire got sucked in by Ballantyne. He was actually holding Ballantyne up when he flopped to the ground and got a free kick. Hopefully he learns a lesson from it. The umpiring department need to have a look at how they handle those situations. After he kicked the goal Ballantyne ran up and chested Aussie, if Aussie had done the same he'd have given away another free.

Still wondering why we played Bentley.

Any JR bashers around? One of the few who put his hand up early on. I'd like to see many of you knockers pay due respect to a kid who gives his all the majority of the time he plays. One of our best today.

Well done JR. Proud you are a true blue

I believe some of us have.
We didn't question his passion i believe.

It's not much, but I'll take whatever green shoots I can find at the moment.

Spot on

as always, i'm happy to get the win, but until we can string more than 2 wins together i'm reserving my judgement on our progress. However, i'm really pleased to see the Big Setant improving week by week. its amazing what confidence can do eh? Russell did well and it was great to see him stand up when no one else did. Brad Fisher- if he didn't have such a good pair of hands, would he get a game? i doubt it

well done Blues

Well done Dane!

I too went back and looked at the idiots who went WAY OVER THE TOP in regards to their denegration of the club (not necessarily the performance). Those posters should be made to have their comments as their signature for a year, or perhaps decide if they are indeed closet Richmond supporters.

yay we won but that was a shit performance

people coming in and trying to point out others mistakes are just as bad as the people who made them in the first place

lets all be happy with the win

but gee some strong questions need to be asked

Good win by the Blues today. Although we were down early, I always got the feeling that we'd get up. We were the better team all day. Quite easily the better team.

Indeed.

The commitment of some appears to be very questionable.

Disappointing.

I am one of the Ratten critics but am happy we won.
One of my biggest concerns has been our lack of run and carry with Gibbs being a main offender.
Looks like Bryce has found his legs again

For 3/4's that was the same old shit we have dished up all year.

Last quarter showed the boys can dig deep when needed.

A great win considering how much in meant to our finals chances.
