Going on the above apparently we have plenty of qualified doctors posting on Talking Carlton

I'm going to trust our Medical Staff on this one. They aren't going to risk our most important asset this early in the season and they know what they're doing.

If you are referring to me - I am going on personal experience and common sense, and not once did I state that I am a qualified doctor...

...you are an awfully histrionic person Andain, aren't you?

I'm starting to think that after we beat the Bummers....rest Fev for the Sydney game and give him the extra time to fully rest the foot as we don't play till the Sunday against the Dogs.

Fev is always going to say "Yep...I'm right" because he just wants to play no matter what but his long term value should be taken into account also.

I too would hate any long term damage to be done to Fev as previously experienced by Adrian Whitehead.

If there's one ground we might miss Fev the least, it's the SCG.

Not to mention that MrsKK, Fev's biggest Sydney fan, will NOT be happy if he doesn't come up here.

i'm pretty sure you'll find fev has a mild case a gang green.

i had gang green on my heel a few years back and was restricted to walking around for about three hours a day during the week, the rest of the time was in the hyperbarrack chamber, ice bath and on crutches.

on weekends I'd usually have to settle to kicking bags of goals on the MCG, but some times i'd only kick 3 or 4.

it took about six months to sort it self out. it was a shame as i ended the season on 99 goals, and surely i would have kicked the tonne if we made the finals.

I just don't understand, has the Carlton medical Staff offered an assurance that there are no risks involved playing him with this Injury?

Yes, they gave this to me when I enquired this morning

Last night on SEN Tony Sheehan said that Fev rolled his ankle on Saturday night. Did anyone see this?

I could imagine that happening as his boot would be padded right up to protect the heel.

I didnt see it though.

As i'm led to believe, Brendan's been cleared of any fractures or bone spurs...having not played on injections and only pain relief that you and I have in the medicine cabinet - he was bound to pull up sore. Rest until there is no more pain is the only cure...and if continued contact occurs - the fat pad giving your foot its natural cushion can get worn away. So, he's doing the right thing being off it after game time...come Saturday night - all will be well...not 100%, but better than it was.

Nay sayers take note.
