SEN just reported that Fev had scans and has been cleared of a break. Hope this is the case, Steven Icke was reported as saying that they were precautionery and will be monitered during the week.

I'll have a stab.

Poor man management by Carlton making Fevola play with a suspect foot on a dodgy surface all the way over in regional Western Australia.

Poor recruiting by Carlton not to have a ready made key forward replacement for Fevola.

We're stuffed this year if Fev, Judd, Gibbs, Murphy, Simpson, Kreuzer, go down with injury.

Just got in from catching up with mates the same guy who told me about the man overboard story has told me this.

That the Fev may have fractured his foot in the practice match against freo. He has had his foot scanned and was seen on crutches today. In serious doubt for round 1

Also, someone i know works for one of the biggest betting agencies and there is massive speculation that Juddy has had some groin soreness from late January. This one im not that confident with info

I reckon Melvey's mate is the same guy who posted on BF that Russell tackled Judd.

Fev's injury concern is quite a concern. I know I'm concerned. The club is concerned. Brendan is concerned. Who else is concerned or is it only me, the club and Brendan that are concerned?

We can use this to our advantage. Let Richmond think he is carrying an injury even though he isn't and we are already 1-0 up in the mental game.

Bruised heel is club's line and i'll take their word for it. I've rolled my ankle over 30 times and advice was always to hobble around on crutches for a day or two...can't see why one of our best players wouldn't be given the same advice for a bruised heel. Grigg on the other hand is more than a little tightness in the hammy.

Lets hope it is just a bruised heel and not the dreaded Plantar Fasciitis.

I am sure he will be ok but bruised heels hurt like hell. Every step you take feels like landing from a ten foot jump.

Plantar Fasciitis just lingers and makes it impossible to play at your best.

Jeez, Doc, you should have learned something by now about not rolling your ankle.

Call me pessimistic/chicken little or what ever but

with Fev, Judd and Grigg under an injury cloud and Stevo to miss our first two games it's not an ideal start to our 2009 campaign especially when we need to get off to a good start.

Add to that the undue pressure with cocky lines 'THEY KNOW WE'RE ARE COMING' when clearly that has yet to be proven by anyone just doesn't do the club any good especially when everyone is out to get us. We are the new Collingwood!

Why couldn't the club approach its 'come back' with a work mans like 'head down bum up' approach going about in an orderly manor to the outside but with this internal mean animalistic all out war assault on all those who have kicked us while we were down.

I know for sure that Piggy Dunstal and Clarko used this 'payback' mentality as there motivation and driving force to create a ruthless attitude. The blues and Bombers were the number one targets on there hit list. You never heard any cocky talk coming from Glenferrie, the only time you the coach at that time was sacked and the team failed miserably.

Could anyone confirm Judd's injury cloud over his groin and Fev's bruised heel. Watching the end of the North Melbourne game and the Whorethorn game, he seemed to be hobbling and favouring his groin...not to forget that the coach has been playing him forward for most game time. I'm worried sick and hoping this isn't the case.
