Sticks, isn't there a 4 hour time difference between us and WA with DST?

To anyone attending the game, reports will be greatly appreciated. Interested in players such as Browne, Anderson, Armfield etc who are on the fringe of selection for Rd 1. :thanks:

Looks as though conditions will be good at Bunbury so this trip should be a real good opportunity for all to fine tune their roles and prepare for round 1 of the real stuff.

How can the AFL charge people $20 per head for a practice match? Probably to pay for AD $1.5m annual salary

I hope the local clubs gets a cut of the admission prices.

Oh and then on top of that there will be the usual booking fee.
$20 for adult and $10 for children is just to much for a practice match. It cost me $18 to go the Blues versus Hawks Qtr Final of the NAB cup.

IIRC last year when we played the Doggies at OO in a practice match it wasn't that steep but I could be wrong

29 players listed, does anyone know how many players can actually make the team (is it 18 + 6 on the bench) I will be watching the Bullants on Saturday and just wanted to know how many of the 29 players listed will be playing with the Bullants.

You tell us when you've seen them, then we'll all know what you will find out from the Ants game.... before us.

Just as I thought...no Scotland. Ratts quoted in The Age today that Scotto may be given a run if he could extend the interchange bench.

Anyone know if the AFL/ NAB have approved further sponsorship to enable covering the cost of an extra 2 players (cover costs of travel)?

The Ants practise game reports suggested Scotto looked and kicked like an old crock; he's underdone with what seems be a nasty operation. I trust he's being carefully managed with patience and kindness.

It would be great for him to enjoy the ride of success after carrying us on his shoulders for the past 4 years.

Just looking at the ommissions from last week's squad there seems to be a trend (including the Robbo ommission):

Rookie listed: Stanton, Bentley, Ellard, Pfieffer and Hill
First year players: O'Keefe
Fringe Listed players: Anderson and Edwards.

Maybe 1st year players may give way to experience come round 1.

Put it this way, I can see why Wiggins would be selected ahead of Yarran for round 1 of the real premiership season.
