i love tex. injury free he could be anything. but the question is who would you have right now in your carlton team, Tex or lids? id take ids only cos TEX has injury concerns. but in saying that if Tex plays all season he will pass lids.

..i reckon they're actually quite close in ability.. ..lids has a more reliable kick, but often tex tries to rush a kick at full sprint, and there's very few players capable of kicking accurately/reliably while doing that.... ..i think tex edges lids in fitness and also hardness.. ..injury-wise again not sure, we know tex has missed alot of games due to injury, but lids has only played a few more games so he could have injury concerns too..cant really remember if lids missed games early due to injury, or some other reason.. ..out of their draft though i still think the dee's got the best with mclean.. ..another with some injury worries but he's great in the middle..

One player that can kick accurately at full sprint is Delidio.

I think in terms of football and pace, Lids owns Walker but in terms of athleticism ie. leap and endurance perhaps Walks shades him. There's another category that hasn't been mentioned where Tex has it over Lids and that's passion for our great club and will to succeed.

Agreed. I've heard that Lid's passion for our great club is not that good.

Thoughts?

That next Judd is such a crock!! How old is Delidio 21 - 22? Last time I checked Judd had a Brownlow and a Norm Smith medal by the time he was 22. There will only ever be one Judd.

Firstly Lids and his family were rabid Blues supporters. Secondly a little bird told me last year that if the opportunity arose for a Trade to Carlton, he was keen. Apparently doesn't get on with a couple of the coaches over there. I thought that I reported that rumour at trade time last year. The point is that you can take the boy out of Carlton, but you can't take Carlton out of the boy.

A shame about the tendons in Deledio's kicking boot.

If Walker had kicked as poorly as Deledio last night, there would be question marks against him being a star and justifying his draft position.

Has Deledio developed and improved his game since he won the rising star award?

No.

Walker can shut down a player and win the ball after his BOG game against Burgoyne in 2007.

Walker dances around them on the wing and dishes out don't argues.

Deledio had a Pendlebury game with heaps of touches, but no impact on the game and touches won by putting himself in a dangerous position.

Deledio will be lucky to be the next Kouta, let alone the next Judd.

Koutoufides was a better kick and footballer than Deledio at 22.

What is Wallace doing with Deledio?

God help Cotchin who is already being thrashed by Wallace before his body has matured.

..Lids had a shocker, but he always seems to have a habit of preferin' the easy recieve.. ..he seemed to lazy last night i was surprised, seen hints of it but last night he was terrible.. ..they'd be hopin' he doesn't continue that way.. ..admittedly, Tiger's development has been worse than ours over the last half dozen years.. ..and that's sayin' somethin'..

Agreed. he got a lot of cheap and easy possessions last night. "Bowdens" as they are known to tiger fans. He didnt seem to want to work very hard. He's a smooth mover and his ability to kick at pace puts him in the elite category but he's not quite elite yet.

I read during the week that Cousins had taken Deledio under his wing. Apparently he told Lids to play like Judd!!! as he has a similar physical capacity!

Obviously Brett thought he was talking about Ashley.

Deledio has been murdered by Wallet.

If Richmond replace that idiot with a coach that gives Deledio some licence, look out.

Lids has the edge on Tex in disposal at this stage (although he was shithouse last night). Tex has the edge in hardness. Whether it's by Terry's fault, or his own, Lids is soft as butter.

Yep ... still remember him uttering those famous words "Go Blues" a few days prior to being drafted by Richmond
