I was at that one too. Were'nt we up by about 5 goals in the last quarter too? flower I hate those pricks, they never flower die :mad:

Yeah, I think we were 4 or 5 goals up in the 3rd quarter and they ran over us. It was horrible :cry:

As much we all love him, I can think of a couple of SOS moments (both from '98):

* when he was kicking out from FB deep in the last quarter, when we were a few points up against Freo over in the west. The kick went out on the full, and the Freo player that took the resultant kick (Anderson?) put it through almost on the siren;

* when he took a saving mark on the last line against Essendon*, and then messed up a risky short pass to Rice, and Lucas kicked the winning goal.

He was a champion player SOS, but he certainly had his share of "ground please swallow me up" moments..

He also kicked out on the full in the Semi against Adelaide at Waverley in 93. Took a screamer on the line though with the shot at goal :wink:

While we're on that game....

Shaun Rehn chasing a loping Justin Madden through the centre of the ground :grin:

That was the only time I've actually heard the crowd laugh rather then cheer when a player kicked a goal... :lol:

1 vote to Steven Handley. History might show some junk time goals but my focus will always be his effort in the 3rd quarter of the '95 GF when he allowed a very short Greg Williams to out mark him following a short kick in.This was followed up 5 minutes later when he tried to run around Andy McKay only to be completely embarrassed in the tackle.

Dont forget when Aaron Lord ran into an open goal and handballed to Handley instead of kicking a goal from 2 meters out, and SOS tackled Handley and rushed it through in front of the carlton cheer squad.

I think it was the last quarter and we were about 70 points up, it was absolute gold

Get off Satan's back Aggers - he has got Rotten Ronnie Evans down there.

I here that Beelzebub is quite pissed off at the recent price hike in pies down there.

Harry Taylor exact same thing on defensive 50 in last season's GF, Stewart Dew gathers and goals.
