I didn't realise that we were in such a bad way that we needed a change of direction at board level, but I think I would prefer someone with an elite-level football background (playing or long-term admin) for President.

FWIW, I like Sticks' work so far. If it turns out that he is a protege of sorts for Richard Pratt, then that is fine by me.

And what, Kernahan is more qualified for the same position?

IMHO, yes. As far as I can tell, the FC still stands for Football Club and I would be willing to suggest that Sticks has forgotten more things about the business and culture of football than Fahour will ever know.

The role of President is, amongst others, to be a figurehead for the club and (***cheese alert***) a source of inspiration for the people that are running the show. I just don't get that feeling from a banker - even one as high-and-mighty as Fahour supposedly is.... Put it this way, if I was ever sacked by Mr Fahour, it wouldn't trouble me as much as getting the heave-ho from Mr Pratt.

If anything, Fahour would be more suited to the CEO role - and if he was better than Swanny, he would be in that job by now.
