Easiest way to spot a TC'er is follow Jars around. He knows everyone.

I'm not going to name names here, but I went to hospital a couple of months ago with abdo pains - and my doctor just so happened to be a TCer...

...the meeting included an examination that sort of resembled the "Are you concealing any weapons?" search. :? NOT the way you want to meet a fellow TCer.

Worst thing is, I'm not even saying it to be funny - it really happened. Just ends up making it all the more amusing.

Did the navy blue and white glove he put on give it away?

Oh, while we're on the topic - back in the TBV days I'd gone to a meet and greet at the Carlton Social Club (Thursday or Friday night?!) - can anyone remember going to that.

Pretty sure that was the first and only time I've met CK95 and tommi.

Anyways, I met this girl there - can't remember her name or her TBV name. We were both around 18ish (I was driving at that stage I remember that).

We'd met up a couple of times afterwards but then we kinda lost touch. It was still a pretty fun time. She 'found' the weapon I was concealing that time... :P haw haw

...ok. I'll shut up now and get ready to work...

I said..." yeah, you're not Noonamah Blue are you".... and of course he was. We chatted away about the blues and our memories over many tears to the extent that I didn't concentrate much on the local game.

So yes a secret handshake might be good, but true blues will recognise each other anyway.

(And BTW Noonamah Blue supports the right local team (St Mary's) as well. A very astute person.... :)

I met quite a few TCers (nee TBVers) at The First Bounce all those years ago. I was clowning around an introducing myself as GoBaggers. And it all went pretty much downhill from there.

this thread is cracking me up, especially the natnat and navy glove comments!

i reckon you lot down there should make a more consience effort to use the talking socials thread.

especially during nab cup games, were Genral admin can anywhere together, and different membership status of each TC'er has no bearing.

that way you can all sit together in a group and cheer on the lads.

Ala the 2005 Wizz Cup Final - birth place of the FEV chant.

Sparky you have the honour of being the first TBV/TCer I met.

Deano was mine.

He said "look for the fat bastard with the skin condition wearing the Carlton cap"

i think the first time i met anyone was either TBV gathering for the 2003 H&A opener at homebush (Maintain the rage!)
Where i met among others: spornstar (don't know what happened to him, but he was about to move back to melbourne), Carlton Clem (the only aisan carlton supporter in sydney) and natmac breasts

Also around the same time we have a small gathering of Canberra based supporters at the Durham in Kingston - pretty sure that's the first time i met CB, Heavs and a few others - i have a bad memory when it comes to names and handles.

I'm pretty sure I only met Heavs for the first time the other day at a meeting for work. But I'm not sure he knew it was me.

Deano was supposed to stop over a while back on his way back to Sydney from Maryborough.

We decided that having that much awesome in close proximity would collapse the universe so he didn't in the end.

I'm not sure. I don't reckon it was me. I'm not ever at Durham either. I watch out at Magpies generally. We have a dozen or so regulars out there. Not any TCers though.

Ahh - so you remember me?

Pretty sure it was 'The First Bounce' do camelboy was referring to.
