This photo was taken after someone said....

Better late than never, this is my account of the night as emailed to my friend, apologies for the bad grammar and delay, for some reason Talking Carlton is blocked at work:

Had a good night at Meet The Boys.

Heard some interesting things; Brad Fisher dislocated his elbow on Tuesday and will be out of action for three months (they are keeping it out of the papers for as long as possible), Scotland and Bentick have recently had hip and knee surgery respectively, they are not expected to be out of action for too long.

Kruezer has been beating some of team mates, even in rehab. The standouts at the camp were Anderson, Carrazzo and Thornton.

Saw some video of the camp, they had to climb down cliffs face first, heaps of scary looking abseiling, boxing and rope carrying. Their was also some horrific footage of eating 2 minute noodles, which is clearly a fate worse than a fate worse than death. They were not allowed to refer to each other by name only by the colour and number on their bib. The injured players wore white bibs, and were protected a bit. If they did anything against the rules they had to do push-ups, if they swore, they had to do push-ups. The red team won which was led by Fev. Ratten mentioned that they might do Kokoda, so they are really modeling themselves on the Dawks.

Robert Harvey was also their, made some slight reference to coming from an unsuccessful club (amen, brother!) but he was probably the most popular guest of the night. Made fun of the younger players, saying that their lockers are full of hair and skin care products, and that they spend their free time down at the solarium.

The players were interviewed, their was nothing really notable mentioned, Rhys O’Keeffe and Chris Yarran are staying with Greg Swann, his house was frequently referred to as the Taj Mahal, their were also a few jokes about Dale Thomas leaving his overprocessed hair from his time there. Caleb Tiller is staying with Dennis Armfield and Steven Browne, and Mitch Robinson (who I think said he models himself on Brett Kirk of the swans) is staying with David Ellard.

Robert Warnock arrived at the end, but all the other players and Robert Harvey chatted with the ladies and few men who had tagged along during the evening, which I think is impressive, it must have felt like being stuck in a room full of their Mums. I think Rhys O’Keeffe was the most impressive, he really made an effort to introduce himself to everyone in the room, and thankfully barracked for the Crows and NOT Port, but is a “Carlton man now”, and there were definitely no DFI’s. I was also impressed by Rhys when the videos were being played he actually moved out of the way so as not to block anyone’s view, unlike that really tall guy in the stripey shirt that must have blocked the screen for half the room. Yes I know I am a tall dwarf, but compared to this guy so was nearly everyone else!

Also like the fact that Brett Ratten blanched at the recruits being called boys, he correct Samantha Lane and said they were “young men” who we wanted to play senior footy next year.

Another good night by the Women of Carlton.

Mmm doesn't seem to be working for Mitch...
I was thinking he's going to score us a suncream/sunblock sponsorship!

Rotten luck for the Fish, really needs everything going for him now with more competition for a forward spot. Hope he heals well.

Cheers for the reports. :)

Yep; a very young one at that.

I believe Robbo will be better.

With his pace, I think he's going to be more meaner and damaging defensively and offensively than Hickmott.

BIG CALL...............I know

But I am talking potential, not fact.

But, I'm willing to have a bet on it if one could measure it.

He's the whole package. He'll be better than most on our list...better than Russell, Anderson, Hartlett, Edwards, Bentick, Ellard, Joseph, Fisher, Wiggins, Carrazzo, Scotland and Grigg....give it 3-4 years......IMO.

Agreed. He may top the other blokes mentioned, but Grigga's going to be a gem.
