I also have heard Murphy state how much he loved playing at Carlton and that when he was at Geelong he was still Carlton through and through.

Just have to look at his body language after the SOS hit.

Many of us probably remember Justin Murphy saying how much he wanted to play for Carlton (there were some reports of it just being a leading melbourne based club) but someone's press reports are hardly the same as this belief of 'playing for the jumper'.

Generally the players listed in this thread are hard players that dont shirk the issue - something you couldnt say for Justin Murphy. but we never heard Darren Hulme who was clearly passionate and committed and a hard player talk about how much he loved Carlton.

I think this concept doesnt really work. Did Hickmott play for the jumper or was he just a tough, hard, committed player? Did he not play for the Geelong jumper being one of their best in the 1995 GF?
