Actually I remember when Dick first became pres and said something along the lines of him only being there for probably 2 years, not wanting to just give handouts as this isnt sustainable, but to put the club in a position where it can support itself financially in years to come (the pub deal etc)

So we aren't and never were relying on DP's handouts. Sure they helped a lot, but this was never the grand plan

Lets hope so. We need to turn Carlton into a money making machine and not rely on bail outs
