Whats the bet that when Jack turns 18 and is ready for AFL and looks set to join the Blues, the AFL steps in and abolishes the father/son rule !!!!!!!!!

That won't happen. They'd be mad to abolish that rule.

the Father/Son rule is prejudicial to the concept of the draft

Shall we just call him Diesel 8)

Pretty sure it's League policy to wear helmets up until the Under 11's. A very good idea in my opinion. He'll lose the helmet in the Under 13's I'd imagine.

Anyway - remember back to your junior days...anyone play with future AFL players? Even in the under 13's it was quite clear that the best players who had a great attitude as well were destined to play in the big leagues. Jack's off to a great start...would be interested to see how far he can kick the ball. Stephen could kick 40 metres at age 12.

Its good to see support for young SOS but lets be realistic in our expectations. Brown division is 2nd division in the league and although it is still a reasonable standard, he's not a superstar just yet.

Lets hope he continues to progress and more importantly, enjoys his footy.
