Had a little chuckle to myself when I heard that on Ten news tonight.

Was hoping Quarters was going to finish off with..

"So yeah, stick that up your arse Eddie and Channel 9"

But, alas, it wasn't to be.

Malouf on White line Fever is currently denying LAs allegations. Stated that a full investigation into the LA and Karls 'Happy' training session revealed no other drug users in club.

Did admit that Karl has been cunselled a few times over the past 18 months for behaviour issues

Invited LA to contact club with his allegations.

Bulletin Editor stated that LAe was using Estacy and Cociane weekly in the led up to his sacking. Stated that club left him 'hung out to dry' by the club.

Just what we needed in the lead up to the Farewell game.

Yes funnily enough, at the end of the interview they said that the story will be found in the bulletin magazine which comes out tomorrow

LA apparently said that the night he was out with karl he was also out with 3 other senior players. He didn't want to name names but he felt that he was hung out to dry - a huge case of poor me syndrome if you ask me!!

He also claims that drugs are rife in the AFL & well, really is that a surprise to us all considering most of the league is made up of 18-28 yr olds??

It was great to see Tony Shaw attack the journo involved & he became quite fiery, asking the journo what statistics he had to back up the theory about drugs being rife... He also asked the journo why he would belive someone like LA considering his history. Later on in the show, after the journo had gone he questioned whether LA had been paid for the interview, suggesting that he may have needed the money hence the motivation to come out now and say something.

Anyway, that was it, a storm in a teacup really & typical that it comes out this week when we are trying to be positive about the week and year ahead.

the other 2 are probably Synbad and Verbs......

I hear they're both TRIPPERS!!!!

I typed so much inane drivel last night, my fingers are too sore to type properly. Ouch.

I wonder if LA feels like he was made a scapegoat? It should make for some interesting reading, and one would hope most people will take it with a grain of salt...we'll have to see.

Yes Tony Shaw really was fired up. Had the journo on the ropes when he asked what % does drugs being rife - 1%, 10%, 50%. The journo just splutted a nothing answer. He really hammered home the issue about The Bulletin basing their whole story on claims from a guy like LA whose character is seriously flawed.

There'll be no news on this tomorrow other than the bulletin, but you can bet your house that on Channel Nine on Thursday night at 9:30pm on Hey Hey Its Collingwood, Eddie will announce an "exclusive".

Tony Shaw is a closet Carlton Supporter. I love the bloke. He's always been forthright in his comments and supported us on Black Friday.

It's not hard to guess who one of the other players who was with Karl and Laurie that night.

Are you referring to a retired junior player? He says it's senior players.

True. But I'm guessing the "retired junior player" doesn't sell magazines.

I think it extremely unfair to speculate on here, about who may or may not have been involved. :x

Could i suggest we drop this speculation?

Too right 7dom.

Laurie took our hopes and trampled them in the dust...now he's come back to have another kick...I'm over him.

Let's ignore him and get on with this important week for our footy club.

yep - to quote the great show, The Simpsons.

Just dont look, Just Dont Look

The more you read about this guy, the more it "feeds" him. Just ignore this insignificant spec and it will all go away.

Having said that though, the AFL and it supporters would have to be out of its mind to suggest that there are no players using drugs. Not sure what all the fuss is about really. Unless of course they are "producing" them and selling them etc..

In its darkest hour, the club, seemingly down & out, & particularly the supporters pinned their hopes on this bloke & gave him a second chance after his demise at Adelaide. Though the club supported him through his initial ‘after hour’ indiscretions, the line had to be drawn. Even then he continued to sh*t in the clubs face. Now he comes out with unsubstantiated allegations in a very important week for the Blues.

I’m not that naïve to think that no other AFL players (CFC included) have been or are still on the ‘gear’, & I don’t condone it. But these allegations are coming from a liar, coward & a thief who has no creditability whatsoever & isn’t prepared to name names. So you may have got a few bucks to destabilise a club that gave you a second chance. Good on you.

Laurie, unless you are prepared to name names, flower off

Actually………………..flower OFF anyway

There was a bit of a snippet on SportsTonight last night as well. It was actually the lead story, however, nothing was really said that hasn't already been stated here. Sounds like a good plug for the Bulletin mag and not much else really.

These situations are always difficult for clubs to handle and I appluad Malouf for inviting Laurie to the club so that he can name names allowing the club to investigate further. Also on the ST report Collo pretty much said that any player following in Laurie's footsteps on the party scene might be doing the same on the career scene. I think that's good for the club. We've come out on the front foot, and if there is any truth Angwin's comments well the club should be sending a strong message that this behaviour cannot be condoned by the club.

Couldn't agree more Caz - what wonderful timing from Angwin and his faciliators in the media.
