We may make finals next year, and I would consider that an important part of our development.

If we don’t, I won’t be jumping up and down about it, knowing that our time to shine is still some time away. We all know we should have a legitimate shot at a flag in 3-4 years, so that perspective needs to be kept when analysing our performances over the next couple of seasons. Because we are still going to lose plenty games we shouldn’t - it’s all part of development.

I’m very pleased with our progress thus far under Ratten. The key for me is, when you look at premiership teams of recent years, one thing they have in common is a very large proportion (70%-90%) of their players are in the 100-200 games bracket. We have to wait for this to be the case with us, and with our young core group, this will still be a few years away. (If someone has stats on this it would be interesting).

Top 4 next year.

Look at the teams above us. Other than Dawks and Geelong, and possibly Roos, which of those teams will be better than us in 2009? Will any teams push up from behind us?

Swans, Pies, Crows, Aints, Bullies????

See you GF day 2010 8)
