Good article, but why do they refer to OUR Juddy as "the former Eagles premiership captain". Who wrote that article? Don't they know jealousy is a curse!

Joel Selwood is the only player I can think of in recent history whose first 2 years in the AFL are comparable to Judd's first 2 years in terms of sheer quality and consistency. IMO Judd's first 2 years would account for Selwood's, but young Joel is also a very special talent.

Agree Sedat -had a huge impact on Fri nights game in the absense of a few stars. Been watching Selwood pretty closely recently, and was good to watch both him and Ellis from the hawks on Fri night. Selwood plays a very similar game to Ball, whereas Ellis is more like a Del Santo to me, very sure and polished, - I think he'll make the step up as well. Along with Gibbs (& if we need a comparision it's Peter Motley no questions), I'm sure we'll be speaking of those three in the same light as Judd, Hodge & Ball as the standouts of their draft. Different players, but very gifted indeed.
