Agree, that hit Judd copped looked very bad - I would challenge the boys to lift in the absence of Juddy. He's a 5 to 6 year investment so no risks should be taken.

The rest will enable him to overcome any groin soreness and clear his concussion. Besides the extra break makes up for the one that was missed during the Vic vs All Stars game.

agreed, wouldnt have any issue with him missing this game, for the various reasons stated above.

judd, like kreuzer, like murphy, like gibbs, is about the future, not this year.

if resting him for a week, 2 weeks, a month now, helps him in the long run, then im all for it.

this is, and was always going to be a decent year, and to date, im fairly happy with he way we are going as a side.

we still have massive room for improvment, but if resting Juddy now is about tomorrow, them im all for it.

It isnt worth taking a chance if he is not right.
He is one tough cookie Juddy. That was a massive hit, and he continued playing.

It makes a big statement if we do play Judd - it says we want to give our team every opportunity to make the 8, despite last weekend.

If we don't..

Well, I don't wanna mention the T word, but that's how many might perceive it!

Sorry to throw that one in, but I think it's worth mentioning!

If we were on 3 or 4 wins and yes that "T" word would send this site and all radio stations into meltdown.

Rest him and send out the challenge to all the other players.

Judd's welfare is paramount - can't see them risking him if there is any issue.

Having worked with these type of injuries before I find it absolutely ridiculous that he was allowed to continue playing on the weekend. There is no way he would of passed any testing during the game.

He should NOT play this weekend. Bruising to the brain will still be evident. As mush as I want Judd out there, the health of the player should be put first. :!: :!:

I'm sure the lad himself can make up his own mind about whether he's fit to play. Or maybe, he might consult the web to see what the chatrooms reckon he should do.

Maybe he can put his head together with Matthew Lloyd and work it out.

Absolutely - but I reckon the med staff should know what they're doing. Plenty of players come back on after a big hit - have been for 150 years. Even more play the week after. If he passes the tough fitness test I can't see why he can't play.

If he's still affected then there is no point risking his health.

I reckon they should rest both Judd and Fev. Both are meant to be sore. And both haven't had a break yet, since they played in the Vic match. 2 weeks off, and they should be raring to go for the final stretch.

Would be interesting to see how we'd go without them in the team.

Ratts was on Sky news sport this morning . Decision on Juddy will be made on Friday , so he will probably be named in the team today . Also said it may have been the hardest hit Judd has copped in the AFL . So we should give him a rest I reckon .

Honestly youd just leave it up to Judd himself... he is a smart bloke, anytime ive heard him speak he seems very level headed and smart. Even my missus who knows jack about footy said that when she first heard him speak ( on the tv show 'on the couch' i think ) .

He isnt silly, if he needs a rest yes i agree now is the time to do it... given it would be a 2 week break.... but he may say he only needs 1 week and will get out there and smack the Tiges... lets not forget they rolled us in round 1 in his first game as a blue baggers.

Judd to play and play well... Blues by 17pts

Judd is too ashamed to play this week after being apparently "well held" by Andrew Welsh

Leigh Colbert just said Chris Judd "might" have a hairline fracture in his cheekbone, and doesn't expect him to play.

If this were to be true, how long would Judd be out for?

Doubt he'd have said it on-air if there wasn't some weight in it.

2 weeks rest won't hurt him.

The year that we make the 8 is one where we have a great deal of luck and very few injuries.

He said there was a whisper of such an injury from the Richmond medical people, later in the program when pressed by BT.

He also said that maybe Judd wont be playing...it's just a week he'd need off if true.

If true, it's only a hairlinr fracture. You can play with a hairline fracture...if its as small as suggested by the Richmond medicos.

I reckon its bullshit that Carlton would risk the outrage from the football public let alone Carlton faithful, if it were true. So how do the Richmond medicos know that? I reckon they may have said something like "if Judd didn't score a teeny weeny hairline fracture from brick head 'diving mat' Lloyd, then..........mmmm"

I have my doubts on any footy commentator working within a commercial enterprise.
