Something hardfloweringcore must have been said at 3/4 time.

How wonderful to see Gibbs, Russell and Murphy back up potential game turning errors with astonishing game turning plays. Each of these men stood up when most needed - along with 19 other Carlton players.

Gibbs - I was wrong. I haven't been able to figure your game out all year - haven't been able to identify your strengths. I still have no idea what sort of player you'll become but you're a player - a sensational one.

What a wonderful, wonderful quarter of football.

And to watch the game at the Peacock in High Street with a 50/50 mix of Port / Carlton supporters was gold.

Best afternoon at the pub - ever.

EDIT - it seems you can fit swear words into sentences if you hide them within other words!

All I wanted was for the Blues to fight out the final quarter and NOT to be beaten by 40-60 points.

Hoping that an honourable defeat by 10-20 points.

Why didn't Ratten move Kreuzer earlier in the first or second quarter- that's waht my brother and I were saying THEN.

Still better late than never.
What a turn around!!!!

GO BLUES.

I am absolutely wrapped, and shows everyone we have made genuine progress, Choco must of bee cursing all those number 1 picks running around for us!

Halfway through this year and we have more wins than for the whole of last year. Not only that it was the kids (and Judd) that made the difference.

Finally something to really look forward to.

Exactly the words that keep coming to my mind.

Such a defining game for us. We well and truely are in the way up. Look at who really stood up,
Judd (amazing all game, kicking was centimetre perfect all day, unbelievable, i love you juddy)
Murph (33 touches, blotched a few in the wet but fought and fought and just kept going),
Gibbs (absolutely killed Cornes. Brilliant
AND KROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR. Just awesome. Stood up when we needed something. Have we FINALY found our CHF? With Hammer the number one ruckman?

FLOWER I'm pumped.

Bring on the next 4 weeks. Colliwobbles, Scum, Box seaters and the Aints. We CAN win all 4 of these games. Seriously. We have Walker comin back, Jamo, Bannister etc.

BTW I LOVE ARMY. HE HAS GO. SOMETHING WE HAVE LACKED FOR A WHILE

CARNA BLUE BOYS

I still can't believe we won! Seriously...

As per my couple of posts in the game day thread, at times in the first 3 quarters we were pretty ordinary. The endeavour was generally there (minus a handful) but we had poor skills, poor decision making and one dimensional forward play on display. To have turned that around in 1 quarter and play sensational footy, interstate, and not just get back in the contest but actually get the w, well I still can't believe it!!! But boy how happy it makes me.

Would have to go down as one of our greater H&A wins, especially in recent times. Inspiring stuff indeed. Let's hope it does wonders for the boys, the coaching panel and the club.

'Choke' on that Choco, Chad Cornes, Tredrea and Brogan. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of blokes...

Yeah, Hawthorn have only beat teams below them too, that's a good thing. It means theres more teams below you

Ports a good side, and most still thought they would make the 8 before tonight. And we beat them at home from 5 goals down at 3 quarter time.

We have beaten Port in adelaide and West coast in Perth. We are making great progress, make no mistake. Finals are a posibility but will be tough. But let's just enjoy our resurgence. WE ARE COMING

Don't really know what to say, but would've teared up if my Mum & Dad hadn't been watching the game with me.

Our boys are becoming men. Showed magnificent character. Never say die. Believe. Win.

Not easy-beats anymore.

GO YOU MIGHTY BLUES!!!!!!

Someone will dig up his pre-draft pen picture - but as I recall - it was something like no outstanding strengths but does EVERYTHING well.

He's a natural footballer, you can see it in everything he does. He'll become an elite midfielder, but I believe he will surprise people by becoming one of those mids who is equally as proficient and damaging inside and out. He has shown in glimpses his ability to win clearances, but I'm not sure if the football world is aware of that side of his game yet.

But it is coming...just wait for it. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy :-D

The interesting thing for me was - we were clearly the better side from the word go, it was just our lack of a forwad structure, appalling conversion, two bad handballs from Russell, and the combination of "home town" and "gutless wet weather" umpring that had them ahead. That's why the first three quarters were so frustrating to watch.

It was like the boys simultanesouly realised all the above at 3 qtr time, Ratts threw Kreuzer fowward, and the rest is history. Sweet beautiful navy blue history :-D

When we bend the Saints over in four weeks the transformation will be complete

Did anyone else feel we were robbed of so many free kicks tonight, especially in the forward 50?

It was terrible. I don't mind if they put the "deliberate" rule away in the wet. I don't even mind if the odd head high shot gets missed with players sliding in all over the place. But some of the stuff they were missing was just disgraceful. How can you miss a guy getting belted in the head in a marking contest, or a players being repeatedly legged in the same passage of play?
