Kruezer
Hampson
Anderson
Browne
Murphy

That doesn't mean I do not rate Gibbs, Jamo, Walker, Grigg or Bower.
I do, very highly, but having been involved at U/18 State Level for the past 15 years I think I lot of people may be suprised at how good these kids will be.

Hampson will be a star, mobile and can do it all. His improvement from a raw 16yo is remarkable.
Anderson given a run with injury will be a STAR. Hard, tough and good skills. Future leader
Browne was rated by us as a top 15 player last year, complete onball package, compared to a young Tyson Edwards.
Murphy shows maturity beyong his years and has a great work ethic.

I also rate Joseph, Ellard highly and was suprised (and happy) that they were not picked up in draft.

All in all we have the best kids under 22 in the AFL (with Hawthorn). All we need to do is build the right side around them and anything could happen.

Here's mine in order.

1. Murphy
2. Gibbs
3. Kreuzer
4. Bower
5. Jamison

Browne will be a beauty and Eddie Betts is a very good player. Just remember when Judd said earlier this year that the two players who impressed him the most during pre-season were Jamison and Hampson.

1.Murphy
2.Gibbs
3.Kreuzer
4.Bower
5.Browne

Hampson and Jamison not far behind.

So true. A fair few don't have him. What the flower is wrong with you? He was bottom age, what is he 18, just 19? 2 years younger than murph i think. I think he's our classiest player bar Judd

Top 5

Murph
Gibbs
Walker
Jamo
Kreuz

Next 5

Betts
Anderson
Hampson - If we lose him to GC I will flowering vomit
Bower
Browne

It does look pretty promising but we need another good draft or 2 picking up some good roughies with lower picks

In order, who do you think shows the most promise of our 22yo &under players.

Who will make the most impact in the years ahead?

3. Marc Murphy
4. Steven Browne
5. Michael Jamison

Interesting that you rate Gibbs as number 1. I've had a few opposition supporters suggest he'll be the best of our number 1 picks. Personally I think they will all be champions and we'll long be debating which of them was the best. For that reason I'll exclude them from my " promising " list.

1. Jamison
2. Browne
3. Bower
4. Hampson
5. Grigg

Benjamin, Anderson, Ellard, Jacobs, Austin and Joseph could all sneak in that top 5 within the next year.

after looking at all these lists, i'm starting to think we haven't got much depth coming through. we have enough cream with murphy, gibbs and kreuzer but it's almost slim pickings after that. bower, jamison, walker and hampson all show something but we need a lot more of those kinds of players. we have to make the most of this year's draft, especially given the gold coast will have all the access soon.

i didn't think like this a few hours ago but just looking at these lists has changed my mind.

A: gibbs, murphy, kreuzer
B: walker, jamison, hampson, bower are all potential A graders. - we need more players in this group
C: grigg, anderson, browne, edwards, pfeiffer, russell - this is the group i'm worried about, if 3 of them can move into the above group we'll be right. all have massive potential but i still think it's vital that we recruit well this year.

1. Kreuzer
2. Murphy
3. Jamison
4. Gibbs
5. Bower

in that order. Kreuzer will be a special talent. Voss isn't always right but I think in this case he is. There are some things that Kreuzer does that are very special. Very natural footballer and great instinct and awareness, good disposal. Good dose of bravery - has shown more courage in contests than Houlihan in 7 years.

The kid will be one of our elite players.

1. Marc Murphy - best of his draft by a mile.

2. Matthew Kruezer - freak, will dominate games.

3. Bryce Gibbs - As much if not more potential then the other two but to date, hasn't proved to me beyond a doubt he will pass them.

(these 3 could go in any order, this is just how I'm feeling today)

4. Andrew Walker - how he missed some lists astounds me...talk about out of sight out of mind. How quickly we forget....

5. Steven Browne - Bit of a smokey, but the kid has just done NOTHING wrong. He looks like he has played 100 games.

3. Jamo- carltons key backman
4. Kreuz- size of a ruckman, skills of a rover
5. Gibbs- classy, just needs to settle into his own gameplan

Actually looks spot on to me

I don't think Kreuz can be ahead of Murph.. Or Gibbs for that matter.. Not yet anyway, has a long way to go
And can't anyone rememver the last half of Walker's 2007?
He could be the best of all for the second half of 2008 IMO

that was no indication on how walker will turn out as a player. he clearly should not have been out there but probably due to his own insistence kept on playing despite having a crook shoulder. maybe if he hadn't done that, we'd have seen him playing for us now. the only thing you can take out of the last half of walker's year is how deperate he is to play. his first half of the year was looking very promising. i've got no doubt given a full pre-season he will make his mark in the afl next year and become one of the best players.
